That is definitely a jeep with bolts missing... you can see the exhaust hanging under it. There are many things different about this Jeep from the ones I've owned or been around.

I'm not making fun, I'm genuinely curious. Is this over the top action stuff (Flipping out the top of a jeep as it goes off a ramp and hits a helicopter, or, that ancient horse chase scene) typical Indian movies, or are there more?

No, I also don't mean musicals, I mean like actual thrillers, or anything remotely realistic, or is this typical Indian movie culture?
