You're F*ckin' High

I get the feeling you still don't understand my outrage. I don't give a fuck if we disagree about Trump and Clinton. I'm pissed off solely because you have the audacity to set yourself up as if you were in a position to make my decisions for me.

Notice, not once did I tell you who to vote for. I'll thank you to have the decency to do the same.

David Letterman's Final Top Ten List

bareboards2 says...

Craig Ferguson was my favorite. Not consistently funny, but consistently dangerous.

There was a period when Letterman was my guy, but the feeling faded.

Still. I watched all three final episodes the last week. I enjoyed the heck out of them.

How To Order McDonald's Secret Menu Items

Orz says...

Not that I really wanted to eat at Taco Hell anyway but your use of the words "glop" and "wad" have 'refreshed' the feelings I have about that eating establishment. And yet, the bit of nausea I feel is still no comparison to experiencing the real thing.

It's like Taco Bell yellowc, whenever the introduce some new glop it's simply another variation of of the same 7 ingredients they have on hand in some new shape or wad.

i had a black dog-his name was depression

Jinx says...

My black dog will fuck your black dog up son!

Idk about the brain chemistry bit. Its my suspicion that depression is not really very well defined; that its symptoms, causes and treatment vary for each case. I don't think having suffered/being a sufferer of depression gives me any unique insight into the colour and shape of others' demons. It's horrible to see somebody suffering, know exactly how it feels and still not know what to say to help them. Having support from friends and family helps, but still its a lonely battle indeed.

Anyway. The shame is awful and I'm glad videos like this exist because I think it goes some way to fixing that.

I was reading an editorial in the paper just this morning and the writer was stating that the connection between depression (along with other mental illnesses) and brain chemistry may not be as strong as we once believed it to be. The pharmaceutical industry and various mental health organizations were both promoting this, albeit for different reasons, big pharma for the obvious financial gains and mental health groups pushed it because people seem to accept mental health problems better if they believe it's because there is something physically wrong with someone.
I'm not sure how much I believe it yet, but I know from my own experiences that my own depression seems pretty much impervious to anything out there, I do take bupropion though. @shinyblurry, I'll echo many others here by saying that hope is a carrot at the end of a stick that's leading you off a cliff, hope is a sign on a storefront that's reminding you that disappointment will be back in five minutes, for many people with depression, hope is bullshit.
Now, I believe that you meant perfectly well with your thoughts of hope but I do think it's important to know that to many people suffering from depression might see that as a glib statement, implying that we can just turn our suffering on or off like a light switch.
Oh, and my black dog has three heads and is not to be fucked with, he thinks the one in this video looks like a pussy.

I'm glad they're fighting so they don't get to that point but hell, I can't feel sympathy still slugging at my Uni debt. I wish we had set annual fees, that would be amazing.

CNN Visits Dog & Cat Meat Market in China

BoneRemake says...

video is not working for me. But my mentality is that meat is meat. You dont discriminate because its got a familiar face, humans have this un written rule of if its not your own kind then its fair game. hah I made a pun far as I know cannibalism is frowned upon.

*edit to say it worked and I watched it, feeling are still the same, the only thing I seen in this video to compare is factory farming of chicken. Meats meat.. tired of people not taking responsibility for what eating other animals means to the animal being eaten. Although I dont at all condone the living conditions. Nore do I condone having a billion people in a country and stacking them on top of each other in cubicle domiciles.

I guess this is an appropriate place as any to ask what song everyone thinks was the cheesiest? There's a lot to choose from, but if I had to narrow it down I'll say firefly's You Don't Bring Me Flowers and KP's Feelings are probably tied for the Crown of Cheese.
Thoughts?

Thanks for the cheese crown nomination 'Willard (uh, I think!). If it were up to me, I'd vote for KP's "Feelings"....what, still in the queue? c'mon folks, it's expiring soon, don't make me have to * promote it!

Black Mesa: Source Teaser trailer - The new HL game!

videosiftbannedme says...

That's true, Oatmeal. More of a good thing is still a good thing.

Didn't realise they were calling it HL3. For like HL2.5 if you ask me. Still good but not worthy in overall length as to a finished project; plus these mountainous gaps between episode releases really broke up the feeling of still caring about that universe and those characters. My vested interest was gone by that point.

It will be interesting to see what they do with HL4. Rather than follow the existing storyline, I say start fresh with a new idea, and throw all there energy into creating the next level of interactive gameplay. Remember when you first played Half-Life how real it was? As compared to games that came before it. It was evolutionary. I want THAT, but to the next generation. Than throw me in an action-adventure meets Die-Hard scenario. And of course it's just a few more steps to Holodecks. I'd pay for some of that shit. I envy our youth.
