The most poigniant aspect here perhaps, the symbol addicts that we domesticated primates are. Symbols used to spin all manner of excess, irrationality, and realities.....The fact that one event, staged and executed with the gullibility of humankinds' nature understood, should make any and all wary of a bill of goods that strays too far from the arena of common sense....
Perhaps issues gravely affecting our collective quality of life

like
-petroleum being the only major source extant to provide power
-an abundance of religions which spring forth from the same collective unconscious
-the absurdity to most that there were and are, people who orchestrate events on a planetary scale, to amass empire
-Global Warming
or whatever else reeks of irrationality.....

so, who thinks Kennedy was killed by Oswald......anyone???

Fortunately for the "irreligious correct" honor among thieves applies to pirates and not crack-heads. This is a bit more insidious than some bible thumping by the confused and sincere,...this symbolism will go so much deeper than a Christian proving a point to an atheist, (not that the atheist would admit it had happened) this Nation, is about symbols, just as Jung's collective unconscious is about old- timey imprints.
This guys show-boating, even heart-felt and sincere as it probably is, is a sign of retrograde government, at its best!

There's always the possibility that this sensible observation is a tad bit askew, but it goes a long way to explaining the "anything goes" attitude of the people of the United States, from the last few generations...

I know I have a memory of Spock saying that some alien ship was not a threat because they only primitive laser weapons. It's funny, you never hear atomics mentioned at all in Star Trek - or Star Wars either for that matter.

Maybe during the cold war, the collective unconscious veered away from that weapon, as too close to home.
