SNL: Jesus to Tebow - "Take it down a notch"

MycroftHomlz says...

There is something very identifiable about someone whose determined work ethic, will power, and self belief elevates their talent to greatness.

If I have been successful, it is for those same reasons and not because I was smarter than anyone else.

Tebow showed flashes of brilliance against the Pats. It could have been easily 20-6 at the half, if John Fox had rolled a hard 6 on 4th and 1 in the red zone. Furthermore, if Dawkins had been managing the defense, I think the Broncos could have held Brady in check in the second half. There were just to many mistakes on special teams, like the two muffed punts that were "gimme" 14 points for the Pats.

Take away those plays, and the score is 23-27. Then it is a much different game with 2 minutes left.

And I don't think this is in anyway offensive to christians. Then again, I am not christian.

Post Office Anti-Email Attack Ads

skinnydaddy1 says...

Some forms of communication.

Mail - Been around forever. People used to work on handwriting skills because having someone else being able to read what you wrote was considered a good thing. Nothing said F you like a Dear john letter. "Dear John, By the time you get this I will have slept with half your friends and everyone on main street". A tree Died for your words.

Telegram - Defunct - Faster over long distance. Everyone in the telegraph office got to read it before you did. Thanks to "charge per word" What had to be said was condensed. "Dear John. stop. By the time you read this i will have slept with someone in the telegraph office. Stop." The word "Stop" becomes a punch line. A tree still died for your words.

Telephone - Much Faster- Now you could speak to someone across the street with out having to step outside. Dear john letters still used but now the option to call it off could be done instantly. "Hello John, The guy you hear making all the noise is Mark." A tree still died. They had to hang the wire somewhere.

Email - Slower than the phone but could be less personable. Now you could send Video and picture along with the email. Dear john email become popular with added HD video or pictures. "Hey john, Let me introduce you to the starting line for the Denver Broncos. If you had read some of the spam I forwarded to you. This could of been avoided." The guy in IT has already posted the video online.

meh

So, why do they call Chicago 'The Windy City'?

And I prefer the `Banana with a yeast infection` line over the tampon line.

Hmmm. I haven't thought about it that much, but I think that people like that are more useful to "the system" than people like me, liberals who understand that government control of the people is only possible because we now have corporate control of our government. The cons in general just don't understand that.

I really don't know what's going to happen to us, to our country. I do know that I want out of here as soon as possible.

Sometimes I see glimmers of hope, but for the most part I see one long, slow slide for the worst.

The year that I moved away from Denver was the year that the Broncos won their first Super Bowl. Maybe if I move to Europe or Canada a similar "dream come true" will happen for America as a whole.

I can just see myself finally getting ensconced into a cozy life in Amsterdam or Ottawa, and California will finally legalize pot and the USA will finally have a real health care plan for the people, and one that works despite the efforts of the AMA and all of the other greedy hucksters who use and pimp this country as if it were their private whore.

I'm glad Obama got elected instead of McCain, but I'm pretty disappointed with him on the whole, and have my doubts as to his effectiveness.

You? What do you think?

(P.S. - I freaking love your Flickr account)

Shaking my head.. straying a bit off topic here, but I've had a hunch for a little while now that the gun-toting Republicans in the South will be the first "threat" identified and subsequently removed.. then it will be cake for them (those in power) from there on. Agree/disagree?

had something similar happen to me. horn kept going off for about 15 minutes while i was trying to record a guitar part. by the time i got fed up and went out there i found a newer Bronco in flames. eventually the battery blew up and stopped the racket, so i opened my blinds and recorded the song while watching my neighbors ride get torched.

Public Enemy - Welcome To The Terrordome

I got so much trouble on my mind
I refuse to lose
Here's your ticket
Hear the drummer get wicked
The crew to you to push the back to Black
Attack so I sat and japped
Then slapped the Mac(Intosh)
Now I'm ready to mike it
(You know I like it) huh
Hear my favoritism roll "Oh"
Never be a brother like to go solo
Lazer, anastasia, maze ya
Ways to blaze your brain and train ya
The way I'm livin', forgiven'
What I'm givin' up
X on the flex hit me now
I don't know about later
As for now I know how to avoid the paranoid
Man I've had it up to here
Gear I wear got 'em goin' in fear
Rhetoric said
Read just a bit ago
Not quittin' though
Signed the hard rhymer
Work to keep from gettin' jerked
Changin' some ways
To way back in the better days
Raw metaphysically bold
Never followed a code
Still dropped a load
Never question what I am God knows
Cause it's comin' from the heart
What I got better get some
(Get on up) hustler of culture
Snakebitten
Been spit in the face
But the rhymes keep fittin'
Respects been givin' how's ya livin'
Now I can't protect a pad off defect
Check the record
An reckon an intentional wreck
Played off as some intellect
Made the call, took the fall
Broke the laws
Not my fault they're fallin' off
Known as fair square
Throughout my years
So I growl at the livin' foul
Black to the bone my home is your home
So welcome to the Terrordome
Subordinate terror
Kickin' off an era
Cold deliverin' pain
My 98 was 87 on a record yo
So now I go Bronco

Crucifixion ain't no fiction
So called chosen frozen
Apology made to who ever pleases
Still they got me like Jesus
I rather sing, bring, think reminisce
'Bout a brother while I'm in sync
Every brother ain't a brother cause a color
Just as well could be undercover
Backstabbed, grabbed a flag
From the back of the lab
Told a Rab get off the rag
Sad to say I got sold down the river
Still some quiver when I deliver
Never to say I never know or had a clue
Word was heard, plus hard on the boulevard
Lies, scandalizin', basin'
Traits of hate who's celebratin' wit satan?
I rope a dope the evil with righteous
Bobbin' and weavin' and let the good get even
C'mon down
And welcome to the Terrordome.
Caught in the race against time
The pit and the pendulum
Check the rhythm and rhymes
While I'm bendin' 'em
Snakes blowin' up the lines of design
Tryin' to blind the science I'm snedin' 'em
How to fight the power
Cannot run and hide
But it shouldn't be suicide
In a game a fool without the rules
Got a hell of a nerve to just criticize
Every brother ain't a brother
Cause a Black hand
Squeezed on Malcom X the man
The shootin' of Huey Newton
From a hand of a Nigger who pulled the trigger

It's weak to speak and blame somebody else
When you destroy yourself
First nothing's worse than a mother's pain
Of a son slain in Bensonhurst
Can't wait for the state to decide the fate
So this jam I dedicate
Places with racist faces
Just an example of one of many cases
The Greek weekend speech I speak
From a lesson learned in Virginia (Beach)
I don't smile in the line of fire
I go wildin'
But it's on bass and drums even violins
Watcha do gitcha head ready
Instead of gettin' physically sweaty
When I get mad
I put it down on a pad
Give ya somethin' that cha never had controllin'
Fear of high rollin'
God bless your soul and keep livin'
Never allowed, kickin' it loud
Droppin' a bomb
Brain game intellectual Vietnam
Move as a team
Never move alone
But
Welcome to the Terrordome

You wanna see broad-based decriminalization in America?

When I move out of this country, that's when they'll decriminalize it.

The Denver Broncos never won a Super Bowl, but I move to New England, and they win two times.

And if I finally make it to Amsterdam or Macedonia, sure as hell they'll start cracking down on it over there, too.
