pundits refuse to call oregon militia terrorists

newtboy says...

So...the feds holding property they've held at least since 1907 as a wildlife refuge, or surroundings they've purchased since then, and leasing it to people like these at ridiculously low prices is 'creeping into our lives' and 'overgrowth of government'?
Um...yeah...how does that work?
These people committed arson on federal land DURING A WILDFIRE and were found guilty, and are sentenced under federal MINIMUM guidelines, not given the max, and these Bundy people are finding that an overreach of government...how?
The cognitive dissonance in their last statement would be hilarious if it wasn't an actual mindset so many people AGREE with when talking about white groups, but scoff at as self serving drivel when applied to black groups.
THESE people think the law is rigged against them? What should the Black Lives Matter people think when it's PROVEN the law is rigged against them, and it's their LIFE at stake, not their right to do whatever they want on other people's property, including arson, without consequence.
And can you imagine the terrified outrage on Fox if a group of armed BLM (Black Lives Matter) people took over a BLM (Bureau of Land Management) office, like these nutjobs did? Now consider the ridicule if they did it to 'protest' the mandatory sentencing of a convicted arsonist....who's black.

Oh...interesting to find out this as well....
-Many of the tactics and talking points being used were popularized in the 1970s by the white supremacist group Posse Comitatus. This group promoted the “Christian Patriot” movement, advocated the formation of “Citizens Militias,” helped forge an idiosyncratic reading of the Constitution, said the county sheriff was the highest elected official that should be obeyed, and opposed federal environmental restrictions.

Darrell Issa Levels New Accusations Against IRS & Obama

I'm loving how badly the GOP manufactured scandal offensive has flailed. It's interesting that they chose a suspected arsonist and car thief to head the investigation. I guess they can rest easy knowing he won't let honesty get in the way of a good propaganda campaign.

Canadian-News-Anchors-Warning-To-Americans

Shepppard says...

Who are you arguing with? Perhaps you should just go back to lurking. @Buck is a Canadian, so your "you right wing Americans" comment shouldn't be directed at him, and the rest of your comment is ridiculous. Seriously man, punctuation is your friend.

Honestly, from the comments alone, i've picked up the basic story. Guys house is being hit by arsonists, guy responds by shooting a firearm in the direction of the attackers. What I don't know, however, is if he had his restricted firearms license to own the gun in question. If he did, charges were apparently dropped against him anyway, so it doesn't matter. If he did NOT, then the fact that he was defending himself with an ILLEGAL firearm becomes the main problem here.

Now, a quick google-fu session later, and I've concluded that the news anchor is "Brian Lilley", who works for sun news, based out of OTTAWA. So we're gonna go ahead and put this BACK in *Canada, and I would request to @chingalera reverts the title back to what it was, being as this has nothing to do with fox news whatsoever.

Actually, I have read the details in the case, Canada is NOT a free for all where you can do whatever you want because you think you know better than everyone else. CANADA IS NOT AMERICA. You should properly store your firearms. There should be a trial regarding these charges, and if the situation (gun instructor, imminent threat to life) warrant that the charges be DROPPED in this case, I would find that to be fair. However, regulations such as these stop assholes from keeping their heat ready just in case they need to rapidly without thinking end a human life. You right wing Americans make me sick how you see everything in black and white, you've swallowed every lie told to you by the gun manufacturers and your right wing politicians you don't know how to see past your own blurring ignorance. But of course.... *I* must be wrong, and not the right wing wannabes at the SUN. LOL. Which is why the top search results for the story are all right wing papers beating the drums of war.

Top Of Boat Crushed By Table Bridge

Just curious... seems someone is actually holding that camera. Why are they randomly filming this (ok people randomly film everything), and why do they have no reaction? Gives this video the feel of an arsonist watching his handywork from afar.

MSM Refuses to Quote Actual Purpose of the 9/11 Attacks

That's like my neighbor setting my house on fire because he's angry about my dog pooping on his lawn; not the best way to get one's point across.

I agree - not the best way to get one's point across. 911 was an unforgivable atrocity but what this guy is trying to say is that there's no discussion or awareness of what WE did to provoke it. If someone burns down our house that's awful but if we've been a serial arsonists for profit since Truman and the police don't care then maybe we don't hold the moral high ground anymore when someone finally says fuck it and burns our house down.

In the aftermath of 911 we've killed many many more civilians in Iraq than died in the twin towers and they didn't even have anything to do with it. That's a non-issue in this country and that's very fucked up. The pre-911 stuff is less straight forward but I don't think anybody with intellectual honesty could say we're not responsible for *many* times more deaths and desctruction of culture by our long standing habit of paying and supporting dictators to do our dirty work throughout the middle east and the rest of the world. 911 is just a tiny drop in the bucket in comparison. Terrible and unforgivable but still just a tiny drop in the bucket.

If we refuse to realize our part in this stuff, shit like this is going to keep happening. I don't want my kids to die in a dirty bomb attack because my neighbors refuse to have the tiniest bit of self awareness and responsibility.

Christian "Bashing" Vs. Gay Bashing

And once again the internet destroys my hope for humanity. How is it people can't even agree that "bashing" is bad, PERIOD!
Instead of agreeing on such an obvious point, people would rather fight over which group is the bigger victim. Stop it already!
Churches are burnt down by arsonists and gays are beaten nearly death in the streets, all of this goes on in America today! Condemn both acts already so everyone get on with stopping the ignorant, violent criminals responsible for both crimes. If you defend either act or even lessen it in anyway you are part of the problem.

The point is that Christianity's intolerance encourages ignorance and violence, so if they want to discourage intolerance, their own would be a good place to start.
It's virtuous to seek to hold responsible those elements within a group that promote excesses and fallacies.

No, the point is ignorance like the belief that Christianity's intolerance encourages ignorance and violence is what actually does encourage ignorance and violence. Ignorant and/or violent people come in all colors, Christian and gay are just one of the many banners that might happen to be worn by violent ignorant criminals.

Once again condemn people for beating up gay people, but do it WITHOUT condemning Christianity unless you somehow enjoy the endless cycle of violence and revenge that is human history and you just can't help but want to be a part of it.

Obama U-turns for Raytheon

quantumushroom says...

Hey QM: George W Bush appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than any other president in US history.

Are these real criminals, that is, people with unrelated criminal records, or libmedia phantasy creations like "war criminals"?

Why doesn't Obama next promote an arsonist for Fire Chief of DC?

Sociopath Saul Alinksy lives on in the sift.
