I was in honors and AP classes with all the legit bullies at my high school. At least 2 of them played football, got scholarships and now work in biotech. So these bullies work for bullying corporations, they drive awesome cars, have families and fuck more women than ever.

Sadly, it's the bully's lackeys that take on the weight of this perceived punishment. You were just too blind to know who was pulling the strings in the first place.

Cycle continues, as it always has, as it always will.

"Joerg Jebram, who oversees the European endangered species programme for giraffes, told the AP news agency: "Zoos could design new giraffe facilities, but many don't have that option.

"A young bull could theoretically be sent to an all-female group as stud, but experts prefer a larger, more mature male for that, and Marius didn't fit that bill.

"A final option is sending the giraffe to a zoo that doesn't participate in the EAZA-led breeding programme, but that could leave the giraffe or its offspring being sold into worse circumstances, such as those of a circus or private collection."

Copenhagen Zoo had turned down offers from at least two other zoos to take Marius and an offer from a private individual who wanted to buy the giraffe for 500,000 euros ($680,000).

Bengt Holst, Copenhagen Zoo's scientific director, said it had turned down an offer from Yorkshire Wildlife Park in the UK, which is a member of EAZA, because Marius' older brother lives there and the park's space could be better used by a "genetically more valuable giraffe"."

So yah. Who knew that the guys who made caring for animals their like, profession and stuff might actually have some like, reasons. and stuff. I know, I know, it doesn't make as great a headline as "Zoo murders and mutilates innocent giraffe in front of children. also aidsrape."

I kinda saw it as being presented as comedy that becomes tragedy that becomes horror. Dark stuff. Sagemind hit the nail on the head for me. And thanks shatterdose, but I did know about the AP thing. I saw an earlier bit that was on the Daily Show or Conan (or both) on the sift that was a very similar view of the news as press release reading pod-clones. I was TFWO by that vid too.

But even though I know the apparent reason for why this content exists, in droves, my initial statement still stands: What, the actual, fuck?!!

Yes, we get it. Local news runs AP stories.

It's hardly news, and it's just lazy comedy.

They're all reading an AP story. Sadly, studies done on this show that 85% of ALL news stories are simply rehashed stories, or PR releases. Barely 10% is actually news.

There's always one of these nice girls floating around. I've spoken with a lot of guys that talk about high school / college like it was terrible, but all I can think of is that there were so many lovely young ladies trying to sort themselves out during that age... how on earth could school have been bad?

Seriously though, I was in honors, ap, and academic decathalon and there was ALWAYS a smart girl that liked to help out the smart boys -- if they were perceptive to it, of course. Which I suppose is the problem with people that had a difficult time in school: lack of perception.

Being academic and perceptive are 2 different things, but combined they create a recipe for awesome. Are you awesome? No? It's not to late because it gets WAY easier the older you get heh.

Just ask, right? 9 girls will slap the shit out of you, but that 10th girl -- I promise she's worth the slaps.

True. My daughter is doing Pre-calc 11&12 in grade 11 and heading into AP Math for Grade 12 (in Canada). Not an easy thing at all.

Just remember, math in England is far far harder than in the US. What we call AP Math in the US is done by kids in the UK at 15-16.
