The Last Audio Cassette Factory
Absolute worst part about MP3s is the death of the album.
You can't just sit down and listen to the album any more.
Everything is about the Single. A musician's music is best understood as a whole piece not just a sectional.
To this end, new songs being released these days are all about the short 3 minute song and leaves the listening experience behind.
I miss the album, the B-side, and the other songs that came with that one single.
Brous - Streamers (Extended Version)
Maybe it's more to do with the music I grew up with, but I have to wonder how a four minute song can possibly be an "extended version".

DSOTM is basically 2 long songs, but I hear what you're saying. Also, I notice that if I listen to a Floyd album these days it tends to be Animals, WYWH, or Meddle before DSOTM. I might have played that one out too, but it's still absolutely fantastic. Off and on over the years I used to play "Echoes" at bedtime if I was having trouble falling asleep, so that might be the Floyd song I've heard the most. Now the only music accessible in my bedroom is a clock radio, so I haven't done that in awhile.

Wow. Switch that 2nd place tie with the first place pick and we're one in the same. Yea "Wish You Were Here" and "Animals" are, by far, their best albums. Of course Dark Side Of the Moon is in there too, but I think I've just been played out of that one. There's something about 10+ minute songs that take you on that journey.
I haven't heard anything after The Wall (except for Division Bell which BLOWS). Hard to believe they're the same band.

My favorite is Dark Side of the Moon, making me part of the herd, I suppose. Tied for second would be Wish You Were Here and Animals, followed by Meddle, then The Wall, and beyond that you probably don't care, though I'll tell you if you want to know. Least favorite would probably be More or Obscured By Clouds.
What's yours?

The New Mulleted American National Anthem
uhm.. wow!
So... he predicted the 9/11 and subsequent wars in the '80s?
Bonus insanity points:
* fake rainbow graphics
* 3 minute credits to a 3 minutes song = 6 minute clip
Fiddler on the Roof - Tradition
I do. It's my favorite song from the movie. Not only is it catchy, but it shows the culture of their town and sets the theme that the rest of the movie revolves around. Not bad for a 5-minute song . . .
Blue Man Group's Rods & Cones
You're complaining that they don't do a thorough lecture on optic neuroanatomy in the span of a five minute song?
Talk about high standards... ;-)
