He took 3 strokes to get it in the hole. He should know better than to ground his club in a hazard. He tested the water behind his ball.....2 stroke penalty.

I could have taken my drop....1 stroke penalty and possibly got it up and down in 2 strokes. That would have been 3 strokes without walking on water. Although, sometimes I do walk on water in the winter. That's where the old spikes are better than these new soft spikes. They grab into the ice better.

I bet his charges included, violation of golf course dress code, not obeying cart-path only, not raking the bunkers after driving thru them, and not repairing divots. If the guy had any sense at all, he would have declared an unplayable lie, took his 1 stroke penalty and called it a day.

OK deathcow, what's the ruling? Does she get to re-tee without penalty? Does she take a one stroke penalty, or is it loss of hole if she's playing match play? I believe she has to play it where it lies, without penalty. We need a rules official over here.
