Happy anniversary! Today marks year number 2 since you first became a Sifter and the community is better for having you. Thanks for your contributions!
Thanks for that. I actually did figure it out eventually, but now I have it on record and it's might be a long while before I do it again and am bound to run into confusion again.
If you're curious about what it is, you can search for Noah and the Whale.

No problem. Sorry I didn't answer sooner; I've been away from my computer for a few hours.
To post, make sure you are logged in as user. Go to "Unsifted" tab. From the drop down, select "Submit Video". You will now have the screen open to submit. The first box is for the "embeded code" (for example if you are getting vid from YouTube, you will find the embed code in the upper right corner (labeled Embed)). Copy and paste from there to the box on Submit Video screen. Each site like YT, Commedy Central, LiveLeak, etc. has a different way of listing their Embed Code. The rest of the submit screen is easy and flexible. You can list any title you want up to 60 characters. Under tags, I advise you include as many as possible that identify your vid. Separate words by comma. It helps to look at what others have used for tags until you get a system down. If I was doing one for the balloon boy story when it first hit, I might have typed "balloon,boy,Colorado,6 year old, missing, hoax,Heenes,CNN". Under Summary you can type whatever you want. A brief description of vid; usually more info than the title. You can leave this blank too. Under Channels, check those that apply. In the example I gave, I would check "news, kids, fear". Then click "Continue". It will give you a list of potential vids. This might show you that video was already submitted. At that time, you can submit or modify. You can always modify later, if you find a typo or want to add a tag or change the title, etc. I try to search for video using the search field at top of screen before I even start posting. You would just list a couple key words, and see what videos come up.
Also, I would recommend reading the FAQ for VideoSift before you submit. It includes the do's and dont's. http://www.videosift.com/faq-en.php
Feel free to send follow up questions. I'm really not tech person, but I will try to be of assistance. Good luck. Let me know when you post, so I can view
One more important point. You can vote for your own vid. Right after you submit, it will show your vid on screen complete, and you can vote at that time. Many new people don't know they can vote or forget to. It helps to get your vid in the rotating que and seen by others. If it has zero votes, it tends to get stuck on the last page.
