apparently a few Chinese toy producers decided to be "thrifty" and buy lead-based paint for their toys. Not a good thing for the babies who like to suck on the toys. Lotta respectable toy "makers" were contracting out to Chinese producers and thus must issue recalls on their products. Barbie, Fisher-Price and quite a few no-names that stores carry under their own banner like Wal-Mart and probably Target.
