3 Florida police stopped a man for walking while black, apparently a felony in Florida, entered his name incorrectly, then tased and beat him for supplying a false name (he gave his full correct name clearly even though he had no obligation to identify himself).
The officer’s immediate went to 11, tasing him but failing, then tackling the elderly man causing injury.
Only officer Nelson who repeatedly tased the elderly man even after he was tackled and in handcuffs had ANY repercussions…and only AFTER the footage went public.
I had a similar incident when a Palo Alto police officer misread my license plate and put his gun to my head, yanked me from my car, jumped on my neck, and cuffed me as tight as he could squeeze the cuffs before realizing his mistake….he then threatened me that I shouldn’t report it because he had taken down my name and address and it would be trouble if I did. The desk Sergeant refused to take my report. That was in 87.
