Kids should stay away from pot edibles .. and they mostly do
On a somewhat related note, on one of my several trips to Amsterdam on my first day there I did what everyone says not to do, which is to eat one of those brownies quickly. Ugh, I felt like I had the flu, I couldn't figure out how to work the a/c controls or make a phone call. I had to lay down for a few hours, I was pretty miserable until I got up and had a few beers. Never again.

German Language Compared to other Languages
The "spanish" guy sounds like an idiot when he pronounces it "maripotha". He is affecting a Spain accent, which makes no sense in this case because only the letter "z" and the letters "ci" and "ce" are pronounced with a SLIGHT "th" sound in some areas of Spain.
I don't want to go off on a Dennis Miller rant here but that always bugs the shit out of me. It's said quite often that people from Spain speak with a lisp, because some king back in some century had a lisp, so everyone was ordered to speak the same way. Sounds interesting, right? Sounds like some stupid myth to me. If it was a lisp then the letter "s" would be pronounced like "th".
While I'm on the subject nothing irritates me more than native English speakers who study Spanish but then speak it in their flat American or British accent. They make no effort to emulate the specific Spanish vowel and consonant sounds, it sounds moronic. But they make sure to throw in the "lisp", as if that's all it takes to sound authentic. Only they can't even manage that, they end up sounding like Daffy Duck. Usually it's college kids studying for their Bachelor's in Posing that do this crap, with a minor in Hipster Studies.
I have studied Spanish for years and I admit it takes effort to change your whole vocal apparatus to have a conversation in Spanish and maintain the accent. But otherwise why spend all that time learning a language only to speak it with your McAccent.

LIke, that is so not awesome, what that dude say's.
SODA / POP / COKE (Dialect Map of the USA)
In San Antonio they always said "soda water" for any soft drink, I don't know why they didn't just say soda like we did in NY. Also they could have included "grinder", which is what they call a sub in Connecticut. When I first moved to CT I couldn't imagine not calling it a sub, but then when I later moved on to TN they looked at me strange when I ordered some grinders to go.
19 Facts About Playboy
I have a set of those "Femlin" figurines (those black and white drawings on the joke page) that my father-in-law bought back in the early 60s. A mint set was auctioned for $7000 but these are kind of battered. He kept them in a paper bag in the basement, grrrrrr. I will have to get them restored.
How German Sounds Compared To Other Languages (Part 3)
Parts 1 and 2 were funny, this one, not so much.
This is Why You Can't Outrun a Cheetah
The universe is "just right"? Instead of too hot or too cold? Your tiny lifespan in this tiny fragment of the cosmos is only possible because the local conditions happen to be just right to sustain human life for the time being. That's easier to believe than some all-powerful sky-wizard waving a wand and creating stuff.
Believing the universe just happened to come into existence just right, is harder to believe than a creator created it. That's just me tho.

Many thanks! I only ever heard the instrumental medley clip from the "Fall from Grace" release, I didn't know this existed. I always wanted to master the melody on the guitar or piano, I love the way it flows. Thanks again.

How about showing us "Rocky Road to Dublin" now? The Pogues do a great instrumental version of it.
