How To Crack An Electronic Safe With A Magnet And A Sock
To be fair, that is a Hugh Jass rare-earth (neodymium) magnet, that costs $40 more than the safe (quick search example- $173 vs. safe $134), and not likely that a casual thief would have it on hand. Good for a locksmith to invest in though.
I would like to see them test progressively smaller magnets, to see what the smallest is that would still do the trick.
Infinite Spherical Video Magic (Möbius transformation)
someone should do a similar version to this, except with twins, and have them do slightly different versions of the script each iteration.
This is not a pine tree
so what's the genus of the ones with plastic needles and embedded LEDs ?
How do cats use their Whiskers?
TIL cats have whiskers on their ankles... had cats many years and never realized that.
I wonder if the face whiskers grow longer if the cat gets fatter?
Teenager wins $400,000 for video explaining Relativity
I liked the video too, but when he got to this part of the explanation, I wondered why I never heard it before.
Also remember that Einstein came up with special theory of relativity without the advent of quantum mechanics (btw, he didn't like Q.M. and couldn't believe that "God rolls the dice", and was later proven wrong (decades after he died though)).
My only criticism - and some youtubers have already pointed this out - is that the explanation of time dilation "..the same bodily change that happens on earth takes much longer to occur when you are moving so fast.." is wrong.
Hovering a Helicopter is Hilariously Hard
I remember the Desert Combat mod for BF1942 was one of the first FPS with helicopters, and I also remember how every n00b would jump in, full throttle, and immediately kill themselves. While it had a steeper learning curve, once mastered, was very precise controls.
All later Battlefield games that had helis, they dumbed-down the controls to make it easier, and they just weren't as fun or precise.
Me, flying helicopters in GTA 5. Weird thing is, I remember playing helicopter sims back in the day and I don't have any memory of it being as hard as it was in GTA.
Brand Name Placebos Are More Effective than Generic Placebos
So if a pharmacy offered a relabeling service of generic drugs, would the drugs be more effective?
(not counting the legality of said service)
To Scale: The Solar System
a few (perhaps dumb) observations:
100 Years of Lingerie in 3 Minutes
2015 was the worst, IMHO
We're over salting our food and it's not what you think
I thought this was going to be a Cyanide & Happiness toon from the thumbnail. I did learn something though.
This Much Will Kill You
remember the radio show where they had a water drinking contest?
a nurse called in and urged them to stop, and the DJs laughed it off.
the contest winner died the next day.
Smarter Every Day - Inside a Kangaroo Pouch
"nah nah no, it's cool dude. no need to poop. just let me feel your junk." <- for science.
The Evolution of Dude
DUDE!
but what does MINE say ?
SWEET! What does mine say?
A Message To California From Moby
From the title, at first I thought they were giving showers to beef cattle in CA... I was disappointed to learn what this campaign was really about, but upvote for the message!
How To Quickly Check A Used Car For Purchase
I agree, or a composite video of him checking many used cars, and each example had the problem he was telling the viewer to check for.
Carfax is also useful if you are looking at several different cars. Just a short subscription is good to lookup history of any (reported) accidents.
He should've picked a car that was actually old instead a year old that's pretty much guaranteed to be ok.. Every example here is "it's ok"..
