Notice how the Western health system is designed to not solve health/mental problems and drug companies rarely want to take out the root causes, they mostly treat (i.e. suppress) just enough of your symptoms so you can get whatever problems (and/or some others) you have again down the road. Most pills don't help build your system to fight, just buying you time.

And addressing trauma? forgettabouit! The society-at-large have painted a largely negative imagine to psychologists & mental health professions, and associated victim shaming, most people don't even want to seek help?

Can you imagine a Republican leaning lawyer would argue and present the talking points as such? I can't imagine.

China's polluted enough being the "factory of the world" already. It's one good thing that Chinese government is doing for their people/country and leading many other countries to follow suit.

I can't imagine any Western country (especially the USA) would give a Chinese such a tour like this.

The problem with "Defund the Police" is right there in the name, and its name only. It's understandable that those who lost hope on reforms felt the need to escalate into using the term "Defund."

But uninformed people that don't understand nuance nor care about policies and enforcement would likely judge that's extreme and leads to anarchy immediately, and dismiss its merits. And let's be honest, would you bet there're more informed people in the USA or uninformed ones? If there's ONE thing that USA does better than any other countries, it's politicizing the hell out of complex issues into sound bites. Pushing people into all-or-nothing For or Against camps. In the end, little gets done, but even more divisions & hate.

I watched on the news here in Canada (with its fair share of racial injustices in its policing not that far behind the USA, ) that the mayor of Toronto (our largest city in the country) picked up and used the term "Detask the Police"... I think that's a much better term to advance the cause.

Well, the video already mentioned the cost of getting traffic lights as well as laying down miles (or Kilometres) of electric cables, so this is a rural area (otherwise a city/town would've certainly found the money to do it)... installing traffic cams will need to lay those same cables.

They could do a roundabout maybe? UK & EU are fond of those...

The Democrat can save their campaign ad production budget by replaying the words these Republican dumbass murderers said over and over again.

NIMBY mentality plays a huge factor too.

To me, he's the most "flesh & blood" of all the characters in the Bible. His life is pretty roller coaster. He opens up his struggles in his letters too, and his deed speaks of his characters. Talks the talk, and walks the walk until the very end.

Those church goers doesn't dictate me, I'm more like one of those that love to call out on any BS hypocrisy shit-disturber in the church. Why? Mainly because I don't really care about going to heaven and belong to a religion organization. But I do look up to Jesus as a great philosopher/role model. Actually, to be honest, the bigger role model in the Bible to me is Paul.

So far, there are many good people in my church that are genuinely involved to the community at large (not just within the church), those I would
sincerely call friends and partners, a vast majority are the regular church goers - there for their own purpose (like to belong to a community, trying to figure things out), and some bad apples (the alt-right type in the USA).

I'm just glad I'm a Canadian, where Christians doesn't play the political game as hard-core (read: bat-shit crazy) as in the States. Pretty European, clearer separation of religion and state.

If one day my church is too much for me (i.e. I see a negative value in the community), I'm more than happy to go.

I hope people like you on Videosift can keep me grounded. This community is pretty unique to me.
