It all depends on who you are and what you do. As a gamer, programmer, photographer and overall advanced user, Windows beats the shit out of OSX... for me. As a system builder (that is, I put together my own customer computers) I would never consider buying something pre-built, Mac or otherwise.

Blind allegiance to any brand is plain idiotic. I know my wants and needs and design a system around it. Many years of computing experience have helped me find the hardware and software that suits what I do. Customer built PCs using Windows.

Not a Mac. Not OSX. Not a chance.

uh....no. I have an ipod, and have on it all the crap i downloaded in grad school from napster. They have also "unlocked" their format so that they can be traded and played anywhere.

I've got nothing against zune, though.

The Zune may kinda suck but yes, their audio sounds WAY better than an I-Pod. And I don't like I-Pods for the simple reason that the only music I can listen to is shit from I-Tunes. And that place is a JOKE.

Except hes correct, because Apple dropped Wolfson DACs from iPods last year. The Zunes still have them and have superior analog output as a result.

Because if you were an audiophile you'd know that ipods have some of the worst audio quality of any portable media player. They also lack the ability to play all non apple-approved formats. Plus apples monopoly on the portable music sector = bad.
The sad truth is zune has far Superior playback quality.

I just got the new apple Ipod classic 160gb that came out on the 9th sep09 suposidly apple have fixed the issues asocaited with the 2007 versoin that was discontinued in 2008 . for me not having to update the device and just have everything there is more important than a larger screen and better games.

I think if you were going to get a portable games/pda/midea device its hard call between zune and i pod , zune has more tech for the price and seems to be less up its ass as i pod , but due to popularity the i pod app store has alot of software and games.

I think in a year or maby 2 ill end up getting an Iphone by then i would hope they will have more than the 60gb of space , maby 150gb one. I defiantly think its a shame that the I phone dose not have a flash card exspantoin and apple as a company are protentoise nobs.

apple and microsft are both twats actually , Its a shame that you have to be a really large company to be able to offer decent consumer mobile media devices.

Impressive most impressive, But it is not an I-touch yet.

(Zune's aren't bad pieces of equipment they just lack the Steve Jobs component)

My first reaction is to laugh and point... "Ha, ha ha! Zune!", but this seems like a real * quality piece of equipment- I especially like the HD Radio tuner- the Zune HD just might be what brings this excellent and under-utilized technology to the attention of the masses. Not to mention the gorgeous OLED screen of course.

This is a dumb post. Their point is that it's cheaper to get a subscription to gain access to a large amount of music than to pay for each individually at a dollar a piece. With their example if you get 16 songs in a month (or 192 in a year) Zune is a cheaper way to gain music than iTunes. They're not talking about which has a better library, or pre-existing music on a person's hard drive or CD collection.

Zune doesn't really have anything I would want, and I would rather pay for a full album of good music than get a single song. Neither option is of interest to me, personally. I'm just stating that the commercial isn't claiming that people are spending 30K to fill their iPod, he's stating that another service is a cheaper way to purchase songs in bulk.

I opened mine up - I found a Zune and two piles dehydrated faeces. My VCR was full of crap. ba-dum-dum-tsk!
