Cool! All the games I played 4 years ago on the Wii...except...you know...in HD. cool

I think sony are actualy far less gulity of cloning wii games , i think you will get the basic fitness / sports games but thats just the generic thing that anny company would have to do , i think outside of that sony will have the controles working on manny other games , games u would never see on the wii.

Its anoying realy becaus I own a 360 but oh well , id get a wii but the multiplayer is not there properly and looks like utter crap on a 42" screen ( 360 looks pritty pore on a 42" screen so wii is just depressing)

anny way sod all this kinnect , sony move crap, MASHED is coming out on XBLA later this year and that is going to shit on everything

Sony PlayStation Move - Tech Demo

@Shepppard, I'm definitely going to be watching the reviews on a Move-enabled SOCOM 4. I'm not a fan of the SOCOM series, but it's definitely not a casual/family title, and it should give us an idea of whether they've made motion control a must-have for core gamers.

@Deano I agree, I think the real exciting part of Move/Kinect is the indie games we're likely to see on PSN and XBLA. I'm a little surprised we haven't had more breakthrough hits from the Wii's indie game store, but only a little.

I'm not going to be first in line for either product, but I'm hopeful they'll find a way to make one or both appealing to me.

Looking forward to seeing this in action. Kinda curious what to expect in terms of game titles, too. Sounds like porting XBLA titles to this thing should be fairly easy for developers. Tegra FTW =)

How Videogamers Are Ruining The Industry They Love

spawnflagger says...

Ok, he basically said 1 thing, then repeated it 6 or 7 times. I guess that's why he calls himself "reverend"...

anyway video games and movies alike - publishers/studios simply aren't willing to risk millions of dollars on something that is independent and creative. The more money that's involved, the less risk they are willing to take.

All these indie games he mentioned - they probably took thousands of dollars (or tens of thousands at most) to create. Assassin's Creed 2 took several million. The only reason they made the sequel was because the first one sold many copies, and many people liked it (even if the good reverend didn't)
The argument he should be making is why isn't there a better distribution channel for indie games? Sure, Steam and XBLA exist, but they aren't teeming with a huge variety of indie games. Braid and World of Goo are good examples of success, but how many others have failed to even be noticed?

I'm a gamer, and like others mentioned above, I've never heard of a single title he mentioned.

"I think Hitler was right"
Given how the Jewish population of Australia is virtually non-existent compared to the US, I think this is a bit like someone from Alaska making edgey "social commentary" on the racial anxiety between whites and blacks in the US.
EDIT: I know he was probably poking fun at antisemitism anxiety

Actually, I think he was trying to see which he'd get more hate mail for, trashing Ocarina of Time, or giving Hitler a thumbs up.

My money is on the former.

I take it you missed the next screen that read:

Most definitely does not think Hitler was right

Super PacMario Man!!!

dystopianfuturetoday says...

I predict we will begin to see real retro meta games - like this one - over the next few years. Who wouldn't plunk down $5 bucks to play Pac-Mario on XBLA? What about throwing Galaga, Sonic and DigDug into the mix too?
