Women Drivers in GTA V

MilkmanDan says...

...not sure if serious...

One can find many clips from the game featuring this, uh, behavior by female AI NPCs. I've seen it myself while playing. I tend to think that it is 100% intentional, and therefore good AI, at least in terms of "working as intended".

To me, I find it hilarious, if not very PC. But considering how the GTA series is known for pushing (if not utterly destroying) the limits of PCness / good taste, I take that as further evidence that "bad" female driver AI is very very intentional.

I am not sure this is working as intended. I distinctly remember these engines would physically shake a massive concrete grandstand under your feet. I can not get that from my earphones or PC speakers.

Interesting how the two end parts of the exhaust system appear to be differently tuned.

Britain Leaving the EU - For and Against, Good or Bad?

vil says...

There just doesnt seem to be enough to be gained either by leaving or by staying in at this stage. A lose-lose situation.

Britain has avoided adopting Schengen rules and the Euro, so there is little it can complain about regarding the EU, really.

There is also little to cheer for, the Euro and Schengen area are not working as intended, rules are bent and broken at will, the "democratic" political process is at best incomprehensible, but apparently skewed toward unelected clerks applying social engineering solutions to imaginary problems.

Really leaving (not bindingly decided in this referendum) would lead to short term chaos and economic loss for both the EU and Britain. With what long term gains, exactly?

Democracy should be used to pick representatives who make responsible decisions, not to vote about what mood people are in on a given day.

I think the idea was to extract OSS agents from the occupied countries of Europe during WW-II...

Or, more amusingly, captured German officers for interrogation.
No idea if it ever worked as intended.

Is there a defect with the mechanism?
-No there is not

1). The Sift IS failing to indicate additional pages, I've noticed this quite a bit lately.
-No thats not true. It does but the last page is not a page number but an arrow thingy.

2). I've also noticed that the sift pages can't decide if they want to use the new format or the old one. I seem to get them both randomly on each page - no pattern that I've noticed. This tends to confuse how we are seeing things.
-NO, it works as intended. New format when viewing individual videos. All other pages old style. Also you can opt out of new format if you would like(bottom of the page)

3). The information that used to be at the bottom of the page, which indicated who has up-voted or down-voted is missing. We can no longer tell who has voted in which direction.
-Newt answered above.

It is NOT government corruption. It is corporations working as intended ie. maximizing profit by lobbying government and paying it to do what it wants.
The problem we have now is unchecked capitalism, which will always treat people and society as mere fodder.

Some times I wonder what humans could achieve without government corruption.

Seems we waste a lot of money on corruption when research asks for so very little in comparison.

If Corporations are People... - Tales Of Mere Existence

poolcleaner says...

People with power can do anything, especially if it involves tricking the American people. That's like the easiest thing in the book, especially when none of them really think for themselves so much as regurgitate concepts that humans have not discovered the long term consequences of. Corporations are people. Cool, says flesh and blood people, now invalidated but believing the system is working as intended.
