Kevin Smith: Creation vs Criticism

Yogi says...

It's as true as when Stephen Fry said it on Room 101. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tO_jmUDaHSA&feature=player_detailpage#t=64s

I've liked every Kevin Smith movie I have seen. I wouldn't call them great cinema or compare them to some art house flick or Woody Allen film, but I enjoyed them. That's the point, I don't think I have never NOT enjoyed a movie. I've disagreed with them, I've been selective about the ones I will go see but every one of which had some redeeming quality and gave me some pleasure. I don't get why critics exist really, learned analysis of a movie ok that's fine...giving a movie a certain number of Stars or a directional digit? No thanks keep your ridiculous math to yourself and just say "It's good see it" or "Not for me but if you like _____ maybe you'll like this."

this is clearly an attempt to respond to the devastating book, Game Change, and the film that was based on it (starring Julianne Moore as the "disastah from alaska," Woody Harrelson as the campaign manager, and Ed Harris as a McCaininator: a must-see if only for the true-to-life depictions of what actually happened in the Repub's '08 political run-up for the White House.)

A great call-back to Woody Guthrie and an even greater homage to the power of free information.

I downloaded this so I could watch all of it. Woody Harrelson was awesome in my opinion...never played really but was really excited and worked hard all week in training, and that he got to do this was just wonderful.

It's hard to build a Jenga of wit and whimsy off of your original mirth, "Woody".

I'd rather live in a gayborhood than in the 'hood. And I'm against kids.

This is the first time a lot of these men have ever heard anything straight from a father figure.

So I assume you'd be in favour of kids having two fathers?

Ahh ha ahh ha ahhhh, did your mum come up with that joke?

That's right, It's "Woodys'" fault your jokes sound like an octogenarian on oxycontin came up with them... Wait a minute... Is that you Rush Limbaugh?
