Catching Wild Rabbits using Snakes: Barehanded

SpaceOddity says...

Agree with all of the above.
The most useless survival technique I've ever seen.
"Oy mate, just gotta have nets on ya at all times, besides the expertise required to piss off venomous snakes and not get bitten..."

Catching Wild Rabbits using Snakes: Barehanded

nanrod says...

My thought exactly. This seems almost like Jackass Downunder version. There are much easier and safer ways to catch rabbits than using venomous snakes and since use can eat the snakes, there are also easier and safer ways to catch the snakes.

Can't you just eat the snakes?

Catching Wild Rabbits using Snakes: Barehanded

artician says...

Yeah...

This is a prime example of complete stupidity permeating the defenses of internet distribution. This guy will die off before he gets a fraction of the notoriety of Steve Irwin.
You don't pick snakes up by their tails.
You can eat snake just fine provided you don't consume the venom glands.

VICE: Getting High Injecting Snake Venom

artician says...

I dont know if he's pretentious. I've never heard about him until this. Maybe he preaches in his own circles.
You can't deny the results, assuming the photos shown and the ages he said he was at the time, the guy doesn't look a day older than 28. Maybe he dyes his hair?
Either way, probably everyones first reaction to things like this is "how stupid can one person be?", but you can't deny that human beings have the intelligence (even when dropping out of highschool, apparently) to explore fatal circumstances and learn from them. I could see a well-educated scientist studying venom all his life, and dying from the first attempted injection, so who really knows.
Either way, it's interesting, and I'll certainly be keeping my ear to the ground for news of his death.

Piers Morgan vs Ben Shapiro

Hanover_Phist says...

This is just "Gun Theater." It's merely a distraction to those people upset about guns. Nobody answers any questions, nobody says anything new, both sides present their rhetoric in a new and even more passionate way.
No one learns anything but instead we are even more hardened to our original viewpoints. THIS IS NOT GOOD TV. and we pay to watch it and there are ads... good god... millions of dollars in production costs, state of the art live television, full orchestra accompaniment... fills our hearts with bile and venom.

You can't say the C word... or can you?

Sepacore says...

Partially a standard word, as depending on the circle of people, it often just means 'person'. I.e. the statement "This cunt's a fuckhead", it's actually the "fuckhead" part that indicates that the speaker is displeased with the individual as all the other words are used as non-venomous reference points.

A mate often feels the need to specify "and that's with a C" when she's actually meaning it in a derogatory way, as all other references are supposedly with a "K", and that somehow makes it meaningless, silly but that's the logic of some.

But as always there's many that just can't see it as anything but negative.

Six Eyed Sand Spider - Hiding Himself

petpeeved says...

This is correct for the most part. Their venom contains sphingomyelinase D which is the same necrotic agent that their cousin spiders, the recluses, have made so infamous.

I believe this is the genus that has had so few encounters with human beings, that there still hasn't been an anti-venom developed from it and that its venom is not something you want to....sample.

Deadly Animals

deathcow says...

Aside from causing intense pain, the venom of the spider can also cause priapism in humans. Erections resulting from the bite are uncomfortable, can last for many hours and can lead to impotence. A component of the venom (Tx2-6) is being studied for use in erectile dysfunction treatments.[9][10][11]

Guy finds a Wall spider in bathroom, finds a way to kill it

Ghostly says...

Uh what? I thought the funnel-web was one of the species you didn't wanna mess with. Fair enough there haven't been any recorded fatalities since 1981 (according to wikipedia) but those are the agro buggers than can penetrate a toe nail!

Unless you're planning to catch it so they can milk it for anti-venom, apparently we're running out

Hi , as a man I must ask why you have lied to us for all these years . As a child I watched your advertisements with interest as to how at this wonderful time of the month that the female gets to enjoy so many things ,I felt a little jealous. I mean bike riding , rollercoasters, dancing, parachuting, why couldn't I get to enjoy this time of joy and 'blue water' and wings !! Dam my penis!! Then I got a girlfriend, was so happy and couldn't wait for this joyous adventurous time of the month to happen .....you lied !! There was no joy , no extreme sports , no blue water spilling over wings and no rocking soundtrack oh no no no. Instead I had to fight against every male urge I had to resist screaming wooaaahhhhh bodddyyyyyyfooorrrmmm bodyformed for youuuuuuu as my lady changed from the loving , gentle, normal skin coloured lady to the little girl from the exorcist with added venom and extra 360 degree head spin. Thanks for setting me up for a fall bodyform , you crafty bugger
