If Trump had had Biden’s economic record there would be tens of trillions more in the treasury today. If Biden had continued Trump’s economic record we would have defaulted on our debts and be a bankrupt nation without international credit today. If Trump had continued Trump’s economic record we would have sold Alaska back to Russia (who with China would be the only economic super powers left) and have Puerto Rico on the market just to keep the lights on. We were near a depression in 2020 with 100% of economists predicting at least a severe recession in 21…didn’t happen and we are in a serious long term boom in 2024.

Yes, we can argue that onus is on the drivers to avoid pedestrians getting hurt. But it's ALWAYS the pedestrians getting hurt/killed in accidents, rarely the other way around. I wouldn't leave MY life in other peoples hands whenever I cross a road, having the right of way or not.

I made a 1/2 batch last night, 10 cookies, and they were amaze balls. Just a hint of chocolate bacon flavor, but the grease made the skin crispy while the insides were still soft. I tried an old cookie trick on half by rolling them in powdered sugar before baking….YUM!

As Speaker of the House, Pelosi does not direct the National Guard, neither did McConnel. Pelosi was not a chair or administrator of any committee supervising the Capitol Police at the time of the insurrection. Further, as the Capitol came under attack, she and the Senate Majority leader called for military assistance, including the National Guard. Trump overrode the request and no help came.

The house was a glass showcase, and my mom a perfectionist (which sucked to live under as a child). They paid a maintenance man to wash those windows regularly, a monumental task because some rooms like the living room had 20 ft ceilings with floor to ceiling glass walls! (Better, from the outside that room’s floor was 10+ ft off the ground, so he needed a 30 ft ladder!)
Just to attract more birds I guess, it also had a plant filled atrium in the center of the house with multiple full sized pine trees growing through the roof, so birds were tricked further into thinking nothing was there. My parents apparently didn’t consider the effects on wildlife when they built it, only their 360 degree views of it.

We moved out in around 82, and today it’s largely been rebuilt with a lot of the exterior glass removed.
