I'm not judging anyone for watching this video for its trainwreck-of-humanity fascination value. I get it... but I'd personally have to agree with peggedbea's sentiment, and I totally understand longde's viewpoint as well. This video is just pure sadness.

While Olbermann has been doing this schtick for a long time, at first it was because the US was doing some incredibly fucked-up shit.. like, you know, all that torturing innocent people to death, illegally wiretapping our communications, invading sovereign nations who posed zero threat to anyone, pillaging our treasury, running a pseudo dictatorship and delving into the absolute worst of politics -- so people, even news hosts, had every fucking right to be incredibly pissed off.

Yes, Olberman's "special comment" segment has been an utter trainwreck for a long time and should have retired it long ago. Yes, what once was reserved for the absolute most inhuman acts of our government is now used for petty personality pissing contsts.

Yet I think what WP willfully ignores is that there's a neverending valley of difference between the above, and just some GOP homunculus jackass winning one lousy senate seat.

But you gotta admit, the Limbaugh dig was pretty hilarious.

To be blunt, leave it on the shelf. There was a reason they decided not to give it a broad theatrical release. Basically I feel like I've been cheated out of 100 min. From the trailer it looks like it would be a decent thriller. Vinnie Jones was the lone bright spot, although he only had like 1 line of dialogue. I thought the idea wasn't bad, but the execution was. I wonder how these actors got sucked into this trainwreck?

It's like Jason Statham and co. in that Uwe Boll movie. I refuse to see it, but I assume Firefox is giving me a sign by only displaying "In the Name of the King: A Dung" in the top bar while viewing it's page on IMDB. OK, back to the meat train.

It was pretty much a let down for me in every way - plot, script, acting, character development, etc. Tons of blood and gore, but bad call (imho) to go with a lot of CGI that ended up looking silly, especially since they tend to really go over the top with the blood - like unbelievable amounts. The ending is...well, pretty much the same as the movie as a whole: terrible. I enjoy horror movies, even cheesy ones, but it's hard to enjoy something so painful to watch. And there you have it.

A surprising amount of declarations here from cable news that it's untrue. I was expecting a trainwreck of "opinions on shape of earth differ" coverage.

Hah... I remember seeing that one when it aired... Man, what a trainwreck.

But it does bring up a good question: once you've been in porn (or softcore), can you really expect that you could date a normal person and not have to account for that in some way?

From a marketing perspective it sounds pretty ingenious.

How many quality actors do you know, with such a reputation that you may be interested in illegally downloading/paying to watch their movies, almost solely to see their performance suddenly announce, 'that's enough for me, I'm going to rap'?

Not many I don't think. And as much of a trainwreck I expect his new album to sound like, I don't think I can not resist listening to it. Perhaps not longer than 15 seconds, I'd actually want to hear what it sounds like.


also, I didn't ever think of it as a hoax until I saw that kaufman-esque comment - which I didn't read, but it goes along with the beard. The beard amplifies the shocking news doesn't it? But it also goes in with the idea that he's doing this behind a mask. Might be reading too much into the beard, but oh well. That said, didn't Letterman 'go along' with one of Andy's 'pranks' before?
