Americans Taste Test Australian Snacks

No, I'm representative of someone who thinks for themselves and for the creative spark that's left this house of cards circle-jerk of back-patters and party-liners. We also have Mar-mite and Vegemite jars in the fridge, Kylie Minogue's discography among the music selections in the hard-drive, and have tripped-balls playing the didgeridoo on several occasions.

We can also throat-sing, change a diaper, prepare delicious meals, compose music, be both a jerk and a sweetheart, clean a fish, pan for gold, grow vegetables, train dogs (and cats), service automobiles and small engines, and build a PC from parts down to the computer-supply store. Just your average human being.

Thank god for insects, Aussies and Yanks, and newts.

Kalle,
Please ignore the troll above, he is not representative of the sift.
That said...vegemite on ANYTHING??? The totally nasty 'vitamin and caster oil like' paste is inedible to anyone not raised on it...as I'm sure are many American tastes.

Which Are Smarter: Cats or Dogs?

dag says...

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

I've seen lionesses hunting in pairs, using coordination. And as for trained dogs, I don't think we should confuse compliance and subjugation with intelligence. I feel that a cat could work as a guide animal - but it's just not into that kind of thing. Cats are loving but unhelpful assholes.

"Big" Cats (Lions, Tigers) hunt by themselves, with a straight line-of-sight chase.

"Big" dogs (Wolves, Hyenas) hunt in packs, using communication and coordination.

Cooperation is a huge sign of intelligence.

Crow Snowboards On Wintry Rooftops--Self Taught!

kceaton1 says...

Neat video, showing that animals are in fact very capable--across the board, not just apes and highly trained dogs & dolphins--capable of using tools. In this case it is to have fun. But, it appears to be self-taught without human prompting, which shows us very much that we DON'T yet fully understand their full capabilities. We are barely getting to a point were the human mind makes sense, psychologically and via neuroscience.

Once we understand the majority of ourselves we can gain better insights into the animal world, which of course is very different from one little black-feathered flying Crow to the large leathery skinned water-dwelling/land mammal, Hippopotamus! With understandings into their world via the same as ours: neuroscience and psychology; we can make further strides in truly expanding our horizons and moreover it may help prepare us for the day we really do run into an extra-terrestrial sentient life-form.

Cat vs Dog in Slow Motion

>> ^guymontage:

One of these days, that cat is going to run into a dog that hasn't been bred not to hurt anything, like a coyote or a poorly trained dog, and the poor thing will be torn in half. That cat is lucky the dog is so nice.

My girlfriend's family raises Jack Russells that will devour cats. She owned the most vicious pup of a litter (dead now) that would kill opossums which wandered into her backyard. If it made multiple kills during the night, it would line them up in a row right in front of the backdoor for her displeasure.

Supposedly (second hand story) her grandmother owned a puppy from the same litter and they found 5 years worth of dead opossums and local cats hidden throughout her unkempt backyard.

Additional useless information: Freakin Jack Russells can jump over 5 foot walls and the extra foot of bricks they added on top to stop them from escaping doesn't prevent them from leaping and snacking on any small animal that walks upon their wall. Outdoor cat owners in socal beware.

Pitbull Cleans Baby Bunny

Mum Tasered In Front Of Kids, Arrested. Kids Left In Vehicle

blankfist says...

The subtext of this video: The officer wants obedience. She didn't get back in the car when he asked and did get back into the car when he wanted her out. In his eyes, she's like a trained dog that is ignoring her master's commands. The bitch's pups are incidental in the eyes of the master. Obedience is the first priority.

What would he do if he had no taser? These tasers are making pussies out of cops. There used to be a time when the cop had to reason with the other person. Now they shock them into submission.

Gladiator Kennels: Real Pitbulls! (No Sissies here)

nancydogs says...

You seem so quick to judge, have any of you people ever called this kennel? had a conversation with them? gone to visit? Anyone who has would know WE, yes We (im nancy, from galdiator kennels) do not or ever have done anything illegal with our dogs, we DO NOT nor ever will support dog fighting, it is sick and crule.
If you have ever taken the time to visit or call us you would see we are experienced dog people, training dogs for 15 years and run our own very successfull training school, we train all types of dogs, big and small. SO my dog can jump in a tree...does not make him a killer! We breed true athletic dogs, we keep it real, not fat lazy dogs with crappy weak temperaments because they have been bred purley on size, color and nothing else, our breedings are done selectivley, we choose the right matches, top priority..a stable dog, good in the head, and heck our dogs are dam good looking, thats an added bonus. Educate yourselves learn before you blab away, Dont jump to conclusions. As for the poster of this video, pleaae remove it, it is not yours to post. We dont need negetive feedback because our kennel is being misrepresented here. We work very hard to breed good family dogs that also excel in legal sport work.
