Does Tom Morello ever come up with a guitar riff that ISN'T oozing with funk and dopeness?

Last night I was at a Tom Morello show and he was talking about how the government is using Rage Against the Machine as torture. They are trying to sue the government to stop using their music.

kind of a step backwards. tom morello once said "a good song makes you tap your foot and want to get with your girl. a great song makes you want to flip police cars and riot. i'm only interested in writing great songs." upvote anyway, in spite of the toe tapping factor.

Awesome. Its funny how far removed from real guitar playing this game is. Just like Tom Morello.

This was just as entertaining as the material it parodies (which I also happen to enjoy). Both are formulaic and largely filled with ignorant, though sometimes accurate, diatribes (except this video wins points for admitting to its ignorance). Simply proffering an opinion contrary to that of the unwashed masses doesn't automatically confer accuracy.

My awakening, for the record, came when Yahtzee implied Tom Morello was a musician of little importance. Once I'd seen behind the curtain, it wasn't hard to see how vapid the character he presents actually is.
