Bernanke on Occupy Wall Street
>> ^GenjiKilpatrick:
>> ^Yogi:
The people at fault are very much alive because they could've done something to prevent it years ago. They're in Obamas cabinet now.
@NetRunner
One word. Geithner.
I have less kind things to say about Geithner than I do Bernanke, but let me use my comment above as a template for Geithner:
I'll add in that I think there's room to make a case that Geithner was and is fighting for the wrong side in all this (banks vs. people). But I don't really think there's room to make Geithner into some mastermind who initiated this whole situation intentionally.
How Do I Embed a Utube Playlist? (Sift Talk Post)
Thanks for this^ @radx I have tried this.
I can embed this code into a comment (just did). But when I put the original embed--provided by Utube for this playlist--into the "Submit Video" box and hit Submit I still get the Invalid error.
I just tried placing your template into a submit box and siftbot appears to have been able to read it. I never tried submitting the object type before, I'll try this method next time.
Thanks again for your help.
How Do I Embed a Utube Playlist? (Sift Talk Post)
Without giving it much thought, I'd say use a template and insert your own playlist ID.
Template:
<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/p/$PLAYLIST_ID?version=3&hl=en_GB&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/p/$PLAYLIST_ID?version=3&hl=en_GB&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="385" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Now, replace $PLAYLIST_ID with a proper ... playlist ID. It's all the tokens following "PL" in the YouTube URL. So in your case: 854408FFE7149199
I just tried it on this old playlist of mine and it seems to work just fine.
Edit: I might as well post the code in question right now:
<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/p/854408FFE7149199?version=3&hl=en_GB&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/p/854408FFE7149199?version=3&hl=en_GB&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="385" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
And test it right here:
Yay, it works.

Help with Online Web Galleries. (Art Talk Post)
Being at a college, our entire website is filtered through a content management system (Ironpoint).
Because of this all pages are restricted to use the tools built withing that system.
I get around this by posting galleries on a secondary server and embedding that site within the Ironpoint page and template. http://www.okanagan.bc.ca/administration/publicaffairs/Ceremonies/Grad_Photos.html
You'll notice older galleries (2009-2010) are built using Dreamweaver and work just fine linking to the original image (although we were using smaller versions at the time). The last set (Winter 2011) was built using Bridge. Another problem with bridge is that it changes the file names which completely messes with our image filing system.
I'm afraid PHP and ASP are out of my parameters. The pages must be stand alone files I can just FTP to the secondary server.
If I can't use the adobe software (which is a huge oversight from Adobe, then I'll need to find different software - maybe hunt down an old version of ACDSee. (I run a Mac at work and my old software is Win so still not a clean fix)
Korean street kid wows Korea's Got Talent
>> ^Trancecoach:
>> ^xxovercastxx:
As for this being propaganda, it doesn't seem like the kind of thing South Korea would put out. Maybe North Korea.
Oh no?
What about this?
and this?
I'm not saying S. Korean gov't lies, but they have been caught in a lie before.
I didn't mean that South Korea wouldn't make shit up, I meant that this didn't seem like the kind of thing that South Korea would make up.

But that was just a side-effect of Callie's coma...
Yeah, okay, except that episode.

I assume you're excluding the episode where everybody sang

I think they've kept surprisingly effective at it though. With ER I got numb to the goings on pretty quickly. With Grey's Anatomy they still manage to get a tug of emotion out of me pretty much every episode.
I do realize that there's a pretty standard template for what they're doing, but it always gets presented in a way that feels authentic.

I'll admit, there's been some good ones, but most of the over-the-top emotional tugs feel forced.

Admit it, that show makes you cry like a baby.

Rejoice! It is over, someone just won Minecraft

impressive
there is a way to import layers of graphics to make templates or 3d objects from 2d imports, so you don't HAVE to build by hand every block. there should be ever more MC to come.
Do you know if this was built brick by brick? If so.... well... holy crap..

Stop Torrenting!
I dont see pirating as a bad thing, I mean I wouldnt buy most movies i download anyway so it's not like the company are losing anything. Plus they have enough money and they aren't doing much to innovate the industry, mostly just churn out hollywood template films or films based on books/comics nowadays.
Infact by saving my money and spending it on other worthy industries, I'm helping the human race more. People counter piracy by saying if everyone pirated then movie companies would go bankrupt, but if movie companies even started to see a loss overall per year they'd do something drastic to even the balance and if that meant the end to downloading online for a cheaper and better alternative to the current movie industry, then pirating helped advance human civilization.
Chris Rock being hilarious on Letterman
Interesting interview, AM. I have never been a huge fan of Rock, but as he's gone on he's impressed me more and more. I think as he settles down, shouts a bit less and what not, his message gets stronger.
