I still use flashcubes and flashbulbs for Cave photography. They just put out more light than strobes. And they're New and Now - Groovy baby!

It's definetly a strobe. You can see a few clear examples of it. 1) When he is able to move the drops up or down (changing the frequency of the strobe). 2) when he moves his pencil between them, sometimes you see it get wet or splash and 3) when he fills the glass the water underneath the glass disappears.

I think you're right, eric3579. It has to be strobe lights.

With The Clapper(tm) the lights in his house must look like strobes.
