Jet powered flying motorcycle from the film MegaForce (1982)

Trout says...

I (cough) saw this in 1982. In the theater, first run, with my step-brother. I had blocked that out!

Even then, we immediately knew it was completely, indescribably awful. Yet also sort of awesome. A very confusing feeling at the time!

Key & Peele: Office Homophobe

VoodooV says...

@ChaosEngine wins the internet. He's exactly right, it's not about the orientation, it's about the overt, explicit nature. No one wants to hear about someone's sexual adventures in mixed company, straight or gay.

Hollywood, loves to fall back to a definite gay stereotype though.

Glee was actually guilty of this in the the first few seasons. Kurt, the gay character had a crush on Finn, the straight character, and not only that, they were step brothers. Kurt practically stalked Finn and was downright harassing at times. Yet Finn was portrayed as the jerk for not being "more accepting"

It's ironic, TV and movies had a large role in making America more accepting of homosexuality, but they also perpetuate some shitty stereotypes too. News flash, not all homosexuals are flaming interior decorators.

Oh and ACTUAL homophobes? You're not that good looking. Gays are actually able to restrain themselves from raping you in broad daylight. Shocking, I know.

Opossum and Cat fight

chingalera says...

If you raise one they're cute as hell till they get too bitey. (a lactating domestic cat makes a good surrogate mother and cute overlord is watching kittens playing with opossum step-brother)-BEWARE: They can fuck you up with those chompers a theirs, it's their only defense besides pretending to be dead! Release it into the wild as soon as it's old enough to draw blood!!....Not so cute anymore when the little fucker clamps-down in that stretchy-space between your thumb and index finger and won't pry loose!!

News Anchor Responds to Viewer Email Calling Her "Fat"

Fiver2 says...

The issue is not with the letter, its how she addressed the letter. Clearly she showed everyone in her office which convinced her it was a big enough problem to tell national tv. The message she tells is of a victim and everyone around her making her out to be a victim. This was a private letter she shared to show that he was a bad man and she was a victim. If she believed it was a negative thing then it should have been deleted and forgotten. If not then she could have realized, "fuck i am overweight and unhealthy and its become a noticeable problem, maybe i should do something about it."

I was lucky enough to have a step brother who inspired me to get off my ass. He had a doctors appointment to discuss his health and the doctor told him in so many words that he was fat. Instead of becoming the victim he has lost over 200lbs and is almost a candidate for skin surgery. I was technically obese at 235lbs and have since lost over 40 lbs in fat.

Stop being victims and get off your ass... Its been proven to work for thousands of years....

Nirvana - Lounge Act (Live 08/30/92)

mizila says...

Funny story: My little brother, my girlfriend and I have a RockBand group (he drums, she guitars, I sings) and it's a lot of fun. The day the Nirvana pack came out, he asked if he could print out some tab on my CPU and it turned out to be the bass tab for this song (he also plays real guitar and bass). I was like, "Oh, trying to learn the new RockBand DLC?" and he had no idea that the nirvana pack was out, just cosmic coincidence.

This song means a lot to me, at about 11 or 12 this album was on permanent rotation on my Walkman, notably during a camping trip our family took. I still remember proudly wearing my Batman Returns hat with it's holographic tag still attached, trying to impress my old role model: my cousin; and my new role model, my new step-brother. I doubt I impressed anyone, but the three of us roamed the campgrounds, kings of the world. And for that one weekend in the woods I felt like I was on the same level as they were. Blasting Nevermind across the campgrounds, pissing off anyone within earshot. Male bonding at its finest.

This song was my realization that I would forever be showing my non-conformity by conforming.

Truth - covered in security
I can't let you smother me
I'd Like to, but it couldn't work
Trading off, taking turns
Don't regret a thing
And I've got this friend, you see
Who makes me feel and I
Wanted more than I could steal
I'll arrest myself, I'll wear a shield
I'll go outta my way to prove I still
Smell her on you

Don't - tell me what I wanna hear
Afraid of never knowing fear
Experience anything you need
I'll keep fighting jealousy
'til it's fucking gone

And I've got this friend, you see
Who makes me feel and I
Wanted more than I could steal
I'll arrest myself, I'll wear a shield
I'll go outta my way to prove I still
Smell her on you

Truth - covered in security
I can't let you smother me
Like to but it couldn't work
Trading off, taking turns
Don't regret a thing
And I've got this friend, you see
Who makes me feel and I
Wanted more than I could steal
I'll arrest myself, I'll wear a shield
I'll go outta my way to make you a deal
We've made a pact to learn from who
And ever we want without new rules
We'll share what's lost and what we grew
They'll go out of their way
To prove they still

Smell her on you
They still, Smell her on you
Smell her on you

The Top 10 Genesis games

mizila says...

Well they got #1 right. Strider was the only reason I asked my step brother to bring his Genesis over when he came to play my Nintendo. Sonic 3 was alright, but only shined when you got Sonic & Knuckles, and plugged it in. Now that was awesome, a game that you plugged your old game into to add new stuff. Other than that golden axe and vector man are the only two worth playing. Well, they were back then. By the way what's sega up to these days...?

Step Brothers DELETED Scene with Rob Riggle

GDGD says...

>> ^MarineGunrock:
Will's career has gone the same direction as your "not another cat fart video" since he made Anchorman. Talladega nights was good, bet but since then, he's played the same character. On second thought, he's played the same character in every movie he's ever done.

I liked Stranger than Fiction and think the character is different(er).

Do my ears deceive me, or is she affecting a slight English accent these days?
One more thing:
FAKE!!!!!
It was 48 seconds.

She's been putting that on since she moved to Britain years ago. I'd rail on her for being fake, but I've known people like that. They can't help but take on the characteristics of those they're around, its not a wholly conscious act from my observations. Plus she's an entertainer, and well that's kind of what they do.

My step-brother moved down-under years ago and hearing him talk now is hilarious- he fits all the Aussie stereotypes- real "Shrimp on the Barbie" crap. Not an affectation I'm sure, but certainly mock-able.

Any advice on how to bang your wife?? ♫
