Lol, I've only had bourbon once and it didn't really impress me. I still haven't had any Canadian whiskey. Weird, eh?

And I don't like bourbon. I'd rather drink (ugh) Canadian whiskey.

Gasp! Blasphemer! Shun the non-believer! SHUUUUUNNN!
In reply to this comment by kronosposeidon:
The truth: I don't like scotch. I prefer regular whiskey, preferably blended, and even more preferably Irish whiskey. I just said scotch because it made the sentence flow better. I'm a wordsmith.
In reply to this comment by Fusionaut:
Thank you! Oh, and can you recommend any good scotch?
In reply to this comment by kronosposeidon:
I like my jazz as I like my scotch - smooth. Also my bowel movements.

As soon as a spot opens up I will! Too bad you're not posting videos but I'm glad you're still part of the community, commenting, fixing embeds, and handing out doublepromotes like they're going out of style! Thanks KP, for being generally awesome!

Glad I could do it. However I don't think I'll be posting the Gilberto/Getz video any time soon. I haven't posted a video in half a year, and I don't see myself doing it any time soon. If you want to post it, be my guest. If I see it posted I'll promote it too.
In reply to this comment by Fusionaut:
Thank you for the promote and that is a great video as well I think you should sift it!

This song really takes me back. Even though it was released before I was born, it still received a fair amount of air play in the early '70s, back when there were more than talk shows on the AM dial. Of course I'm referring to the Astrud Gilberto & Stan Getz version that most of the English-speaking world is familiar with, but Eliane Elias's is awesome too.

Nice performance..liked how Marc Johnson started out with a deviant rhythm in his double bass solo. And pianist Jim McNeely also had some nice sequences (did not get an applause).
And of course Stan Getz smoothly telling the story and making it all sound coherent..
