russia win WWII not america

Huh? since when is it correct to talk about who won WWII in terms of a single country? The Allies won the war against the Axis powers. Doesn't the term world war implies a war engaged in by all or most of the principal nations of the world? nationS, plural. Victory or loss will therefore be plural.

The allies (soviet union, the British and the US) won the war against the axis.

the documentary is good to watch; Stalingrad was a turning point, but the title and description are ridiculous in my opinion.

If I'm wrong about any of this, please correct me.

What Hitler Wants - Soviet Propaganda

Farhad2000 says...

The Russian German pact is one of the most interesting blunders by both powers prior to the outbreak of hostilities.

A core principle of Nazi ideology was the rejection of Communism and Bolshevism, yet cordial relations were maintained between Hitler and Stalin with regards to craving up parts of Eastern Europe. Right before the outbreak of Operation Barbarossa, various Russian spies sent information of tank and troop formations forming along the border. However Stalin dismissed those, believing Hitler would never attack him. This resulted the huge capitulation on the Eastern front, lots of military and aerial equipment was destroyed as no order came from above about the impending attack.

Hitler was after the Caucus oilfields, a resource the Nazi's were lacking in continuing their war effort, however instead of focusing on that one singular strategic goal Hitler started getting more involved in fighting political battles going after Moscow and Stalingrad. Deluded optimism based off earlier successes.

Numerous German officials and officer remarked at the start of the operation that invading Russia was a grave mistake, as the NAP allowed for single front warfare against France and England without opening another front with the Soviet Union.

Sure, Russia only had 15 times as many troops as the USA, and single-handedly "liberated" more territory from Nazi Germany than all the other allied powers combined. They turned the tide of the eastern front at the Battle of Stalingrad a year and a half before D-Day, and several months before the beginning of the Italian campaign. If nuclear deterrance did not exist, the USSR could easily have captured all of continental Europe, and probably would have done so before Stalin's death in 1953. They couldn't have actually invaded the USA, but so what?

In reply to this comment by Trancecoach:
The Cold War was merely a political charade employed as a means of taking control of media operations, consolidating political power in the hands of the Right Wing , enriching the military-industrial complex, and basically generating a climate of fear with which to control mass behavior. From the sounds of your regurgitation, they've gotten to you too. The military spending that accounts for the thousands of nuclear weapons and make up the arsenal absorbed an enormous percentage of the nation's wealth without conferring any concomitant security -- indeed, it did just the opposite. Nibiyabi, it's time to stop drinking the Kool Aid. Russia is not and never was the threat they said it was. You've got to think for yourself, else others will do the thinking for you.

that horse is skeletal, j. done beating it?

Actually if someone assassinated Hitler the axis powers might have fared better. Hitler's incompetence led to the defeat at Stalingrad.
