Attack on Titan Movie Clip

bcglorf says...

It gets worse, that's the best part of the movies...

The Attack on Titan anime is one of the absolute best things I've seen, I can't recommend it strongly enough. These live action movies, are the worst movies I've seen, like Battlefield Earth bad. And that is before accounting for the quality of the source material that they brutalized...

These movies are something nobody can enjoy, no idea how they came out as awful as they did. Kevin Smith's story about a producer wanting a giant spider in his movie comes to mind, somebody like that was running the whole show here and nobody ever reigned them in .

I really wish they could get their CG together. That looks terrible.

Lucas The Spider - New Friend

The House Centipede is Fast, Furious, and Just So Extra

Digitalfiend jokingly says...

Unless you've had one of these skitter across the floor at warp speed while you're watching a horror movie at night, you don't know what you're saying!

But yeah, these things apparently have voracious appetites. Come to think of it, I don't think I saw many spiders at my dad's house growing up...these guys probably got them all lol.

I think I could easily handle these over spiders... sorry spiders you guys were born scary.

Never had these around really... but I hear they are one of the best kind of best control insect to have. I guess you just have to deal with the constant molting shells left around. I think I could easily handle these over spiders... sorry spiders you guys were born scary.

Venom Trailer 2

Sagemind says...

"The approach makes sense. Lethal Protector reinvented the long-tongued symbiote for the '90s. It kicked off with a truce between Eddie Brock and Spider-Man, and saw Brock move to San Francisco. There, he began a career as an antihero rather than as a villain. Needless to say, trouble followed hot on Brock's heels, as the miniseries saw Venom hunted down by the Life Foundation. They sought to tap into the power of Brock's symbiote, and created five new symbiote spawn. We can assume the film will adapt this plot twist to introduce Carnage, rumored to be the main bad guy. He's one of Marvel's most brutal villains, created when a symbiote bonded with a psychopathic murderer. It's believed Riz Ahmed is playing Carnage's host, Cletus Kasady."

Venom Trailer 2

Sagemind says...

This is not the Spider Man Arc. This is the Lethal Protector Arc.
They even had a complete action figure line of the main 5 symbiotes in the early 90s.

"Venom is loosely adapting the Lethal Protector comic arc, which saw Eddie Brock and Venom going up against the sinister Life Foundation and their hideous experimentations. The results of that were the Five Symbiotes: Riot, Scream, Agony, Lasher and Phage. Developed from "seeds" collected from the parent Venom symbiote, each had their own distinct powers"

Venom Trailer 2

NaMeCaF says...

Canon? Are you not familiar with the fuckery of Hollywood? This has nothing to do with Spiderman* - notice Venom doesnt even have the white spider on his chest?

Also Tom Hardy is a terrible choice. His "accent" actually made me cringe.

* Of course in the Ultimate universe the Venom symbiote isnt an alien but is instead a "cure for cancer" created by Eddie Brock Sr and Richard Parker (Peter's father). I take it they're probably going a similar route.

I thought canon was that Spiderman brought Venom back from some outerspace adventure. Maybe they'll throw a Carnage nod after the credits.

Beer Snakes

newtboy says...

He swallowed the snakes to catch the eels,
He swallowed the eels to catch the fish
He swallowed the fish to catch the frog
He swallowed the frog to catch the spider
Than wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside him
He swallowed the spider to catch the fly
But I don't know why he swallowed that fly.....I guess he'll die.

entr0py says...

Wolf Spiders are a family with over 2,000 named species and live in every part of the world. Basically if they have 2 larger forward facing eyes, don't spin a web, and carry their spiderlings on their back, they're wolf spiders.

In Michigan, we would call a certain type of spider a wolf spider, but it was much smaller than this one; I have no idea if they were anyhow related, but the Michigan Wolf Spider wasn't dangerous only really fast; if this texas one isn't dangerous, I think I'd have used my fingers to pull this crap off or as earlier mentioned make an Amazon order for the first pair of tweezers in Texas; probably call Guiness too
