Fishing the redneck way
Impressive!
"The largest danger posed to noodlers are other forms of aquatic life found in catfish holes. Far more dangerous than catfish are alligators, snakes, beavers, muskrats and snapping turtles, who will take over abandoned catfish holes as homes of their own." - Wiki

Close encounter with brown bear in Swedish Forest
Awww, what a cute bear. Mind you, most of the europeans I've met are afraid of groundhogs and approach snapping turtles. They are confused as to the threat levels of various critters. Brown bears fall into the cute for everyone though.

Yeah... it's that whole "schadenfreude" thing. I was hoping to see some digital dismemberment, just so that the owner learns the harsh lesson that these things don't always make for very good pets.

Turtle Terrorizes
One heck of a snapping turtle. A pet? Or dragged in from outside?
I wouldn't put that thing on a white carpet. If it decides to relieve itself, you are in for one nasty stain.
The Turtleman from Kentucky

Some of them Turtles were probably 30-50 years old (guess), And he catches 300 per year. I wonder how many years it will take for nature to replenish and rebound from the impact of this one human being.
-His hobby is catching Turtles - for what...? Eating... ? They didn't say!
Adult snapping turtles have virtually no natural predators and are not even remotely endangered in terms of population because female snapping turtles can mate year round and drop clutches of up to 80 eggs at a time (which only take 9 weeks or so to hatch). Habitat loss is a much greater threat to them than some rednecks cooking them for dinner. And only captive ones live to 50+ years. Wild adult snapping turtles have life spans of around 30 years or so.

The Attack of the Killer Tortoise
That's one testy terrapin! I just got done showing my daughter a snapping turtle that was making it's way across the parking lot. I'd hate to tangle with one of them.
