Oh my, I never expected this!

I think the sleeper cell description is apt. I've been a lurker here for a loooong time, and only recently started actively participating.

As you guys know, pretty much everything I post is tagged politics. I can't help it, but right now my head is so wrapped up in the things that are happening in the political arena, and I definitely need an outlet for it.

Thinking back, the 'Sift is largely to blame for activating me. After the Iraq war started, I quite deliberately stuck my head in the sand and stopped paying attention to current events -- it was too hard to bear. Then one day in 2006, I found this site, and saw some clips of The Daily Show, and later Keith Olbermann. I started watching them, then watching them religiously, and from there it snowballed.

Now I feel like I spend every moment trying to absorb every bit of information I can find. Most people I know seem blissfully or willfully ignorant of what Bush has turned our country into, and I want to be armed with knowledge in case an opportunity arises to clue them in.

I realize I'm pretty much preaching to the choir here, but I felt it was time to give back to the site that opened my eyes, and share what I find with the rest of you.

I'm starting to feel a little bit like you guys are like a support group for living in this dystopian future we've created for ourselves. I can't help but think as long as places like this live and thrive, it's not too late for things to get better.

Cliche, but, with friends like those who needs enemies. If he'd tipped over he'd have caught a lung full of water before any of them could have gotten out there, not to mention the time it would have taken to drag his body back to land. For some reason I doubt those geniuses have the knowledge to resuscitate a drowning victim.

As far as it being a fake, I've know some pretty heavy sleepers, even when booze isn't involved, I'd say unlikely but, plausible.

Seriously. Get all the sleep you can. Those first two weeks are rough. Then you adjust to the sleep deprivation for a few weeks. Then at around 3 months, if you're lucky, the kid will start mostly sleeping through the night, only waking to nurse. Oh, and on that subject, get a co-sleeper. This way you don't have to even stand up to get the kid for night nursing, and it's an easier transition from that to a crib than from sleeping in your bed to a crib.

Oh, and if you're not the type who just naturally finds the body of your pregnant wife sexy, learn to see it that way. Seriously, it's a beautiful, sensual, firm curve that symbolizes a whole lot and most couples only get to enjoy it a few times in their life together.

If I was sitting next to him, it would be instant sleeper hold, just put him out long enough to get those hand ties on him, and give him a migraine.

In college, I lived in the dormitories for four years. Since I am mostly deaf (not 100%) without my bone conduction hearing aid, I can still hear the dorm's high pitch alarm quite loudly when I am awake.

Well one time, the alarm went on but I slept through the whole thing. Thanks God, it was a false alarm. None of my roommates woke me up and I could had be burned/smoked to death. It doesn't help if I a heavy sleeper (can sleep through since I can sleep through almost anything!

This is a great movie and a great soundtrack. Total sleeper.

Too funny. If I had a dollar for every time this has happened . . .
I also recommend the Superman or Stargazer, although I'm not much of a back sleeper.

Best sleeper hit of this year's E3, if you ask me.

Oh, and it's PSP and maybe PS3 network. Definitely PSP though.
