I also enjoyed her clearly having picked up little bits of native accents so each word sounded like she was from somewhere else.

Rives on Def Poetry Jam - "Kite"
rembarWhile looking for a poem by Shihan, I stumbled upon a poem by Rives, the same guy who did a great slam poem on sign language and deaf kids in high school. He's got other great stuff, but I decided to sift this one first. There's a few skips in the audio, but not so bad as to mask Rives's great sense of humor and terrific flow.
