Incredible Balance!!!
So much better like saaay, The Silent Library??
What I find to be the most amazing thing with this video is how it so masterfully shows the difference in culture between Japan and say the UK or the US. If this had been on say X-factor he would have gotten 3 red X in the first 20 seconds. They really have a completely different outlook on mastery of skills. That is what makes the Japanese talent shows and game shows so much better.
Thank You Japan
I believe it's the same guys from the "Silent Library" video from years ago.
Just Wait For It
He looks like the old man who nibbles on the guys ear in Silent Library
Japanese gameshow goes too far?
This is from "(Downtown no) Gaki no Tsukai (ya Arahende)" a Japanese owarai comedy show. All the videos I could find by them on Youtube are hillarious.
I think the best one is another batsu geemu (Punishment game) in a Japanese High School English Class. http://youtube.com/watch?v=9E_x3ArCQm8 Wait until you get to the instructional video!
Another good one is Silent Library with K-1-Fighter Ernesto Hoost. http://youtube.com/watch?v=LdgdBOTUSqg
More Japanese gameshow strangeness
This one was already up here:

Looks like it's dead now though.
Another Japanese game show - Mousetrap Tongue Twister
No pain, no gain down to the old Silent Library-Two broken thumbs taped up!
joedirt, Lucky 13! (Sift Talk Post)

i first came here after seeing Silent Library (oddly removed.. bad siftbot!) http://www.videosift.com/story.php?id=2614 and the Lyrebird video.
