The best solo-guitar Bohemian Rhapsody you will ever hear

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

I agree with you that there is something special about this - it's what YouTube videos do best - make you feel like you're sitting in the living room of this guy's house experiencing it. I hate super-polished studio music.

Fantastic - an amazingly great performance, though shouldn't be compared to Jake.

Agreed -- that was a tongue-in-cheek goad, just to remind the Jake vid that it's still human.
I think there is something special about this video too. It's certainly not a technically perfect performance, but there is something about its casualness that feels very intimate.

*nochannel, this isn't a production that someone green-lighted.

Actually, this is a good opportunity to point out that it *is* funny (*comedy) and *cute to be on *drugs for *kids. It's both a *dark and *happy vid, showing the external manifestation of drugs going *wtf to the brain.

Man this is hilarious, and the Sift's greatest hope ever to dethroning the ukulele.

It's only a matter of time before the escalopter gets eclipsed.

This definitely belongs to the WTF channel!

Kreegath at least cat fart videos go through the sift on the table. Not under the table like this one did.
When I posted a cat fart video, I didn't go out to my YOUtube subscription members and ask for them to make accounts on the sift to get my video to be over 9000.

But you should've, because cat fart videos is what made the Sift.

The Final Solution to the Probie problem (Cult Talk Post)

Well it's not extremely difficult to find a good video..and in my proposal I did not state that it has to be necessary to have a sifted first post to be able to participate: a video in the (personal) queue should be good enough..I think this extra (yet easy) step makes community participation a lot more probable..

It's probably before your time gwiz, and I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it, but we already tried instituting a system like this a couple years ago. That was actually how the Probie system started. The problem with it was it made it extremely difficult for well intentioned new members to participate because they'd have to struggle to find a good video to get published, even if all they wanted to do was participate with votes and comments. Needless to say, our new memberships almost flat-lined.
And as dag said, this is a rare event. There is no sock puppetry going on with the Long Gone video. It's just that the video creator has a lot of fans/supporters (just as Jake Shimabukuro did) that he asked to help promote it. Since dag is the submitter (at the creator's request [he actually read the posting guidelines instead of just self-linking]), there're officially no shenanigans to redress.
