Glad it made it; I loved these when I was a kid. Plus, I have the DVD set!

Sesame Street- Funky Yo-Yo Guy helps the Lost Kid
Schoolhouse rock guy's voice, with burnt out hippie, post-60's, Dr. Spock parents, who had one, or more, bad LSD trips....and decided they would put their bra's back on to indoctro-teach the next generation of developmentally diabled kids...... Al Gore's problem is similar, all this, and not enough Zappa in the 70's......Jseus were all doomed!
Paul Hardcastle - 19
I would have appreciated it more in the context of Schoolhouse Rock. Still . . .all that Max Headroomy goodness on the bridges. N-nn-nnn-nnn 19.
Now if you want a really piss poor yet oddly prophetic anti-war song, go no further than Culture Club's "War Song" (War is Stupid and People Are Stupid).

Schoolhouse Rock--Conjunction Junction
With the other Schoolhouse Rock stuff (and their parodies) here, I'm surprised this wasn't posted yet.
Time For Timer: I hanker for a hunk-a CHEESE!
lordy, i don't remember that at all. somehow i completely missed the entire schoolhouse rock ouvre, though i think i'm the right age. born in 1961, so in the early 70s i was just hitting my stride and yet to reach my peak, in terms of hours/day watching tv.
i got on this 70s thing by seeking that coke commercial, and finding a few others that i thought worthy of note. the levis one just made me smile and is waay too catchy. i almost posted the dr pepper (i'm a pepper, she's a pepper... wouldn't you like to be a pepper too?), written by barry manilow, further giving it value as part of our precious cultural heritage -- but i thought i'd show at least *some* restraint.

Great post sfjocko, I remember this ad fondly. I think there was Simpsons reference a while back to this, that made me remember it. Now, how about SchoolHouse Rock? Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
And "Time for Timer" "I hanker for a hunk of, a slab or slice or chunk of, I hanker for a hunk of cheese".
God, insidious the way that was implanted in my maleable childhood brain forever.
