lol horse fart

StukaFox says...

As a long-time NPR listener, I applaud Iv_hunter for bringing an air of class and maturity to Videosift with this submission. Too often, Sift is plagued by such low-brow topics as TED talks and the ever-rancorous Neil deGrasse Tyson. By exposing the Sift audience to masterpieces such as "lol horse fart", one is reassured that erudite viewing will never go out of style. Salute', Iv_hunter!

i am so thoroughly impressed and in a state of awe just how much you are accomplishing and with such precision and efficiency.

bravo my friend.
your talents are much appreciated.

i think i see what you are trying to create, though my limited understandings are a hindrance:a stylized and sleek user interface which is easy to use for the new visitor, uncluttered, yet still sexy.

all this while balancing the desires of long time users who have helped build this community.

no easy task my friend, but your recent attentions have proven spectacular in the face of those challenges.

i salute you my friend.
well done!

I know exactly what he means and have the same thought.. unconditional love for all after having a spiritual 'awakening'. Mine however wasn't born of psychodelic use but rather spiritual pursuits such as meditation during the most stressful time of my life. It was like my mind broke and a new me was born. It utterly changed how I think and feel. If I were religious at the time I'm sure I would have taken it as a sign some god had chosen me and for this reason I don't consider people who 'find god' or are 'born again' to be bat-shit crazy. They've simply had a similar experience.

I never understood exactly what happened to me physiologically to cause such a radical shift in the way I think and feel so I'm glad science is researching this phenomenon. That 'event' happened 20+ years ago but it still affects me every day.

Bellamy salute and the Pledge of Allegiance

danielexposed says...

Rex Curry is the nation's leading authority on the Pledge of Allegiance. You're right to post the video. The video is completely accurate. The salute used by the Nazis was NOT derived from the socialist Mussolini. And the gesture was not based on the so-called "ancient Roman salute" because the "ancient Roman salute" is a complete fictional, as stated above.

Jacques-Louis David's painting "The Oath of the Horatii" did not associate the salute with classical Rome, and David never said such a thing, and the painting does not show the gesture, it shows three people reaching for weapons, including the use of the left hand. The Horatii lie is a very modern lie, fabricated circa 2006(?) on wakipedia in order to cover-up the Pledge of Allegiance's putrid past.

The socialist Mussolini did NOT adopt what he thought was the Roman salute.

No one should stand for nor chant the Pledge of Allegiance because it was the origin of the Nazi salute and Nazi behavior (see the discoveries of the historian Dr. Rex Curry). The early pledge began with a military salute that was then extended outward to point at the flag (thus the stiff-arm gesture came from the pledge and from the military salute). The pledge was written in 1892 for kindergartners to be forced to recite under the flag at government schools (socialist schools). The pledge was written by an American socialist who influenced other socialists worldwide, including German socialists, who used the gesture under their flag's notorious symbol (their symbol was used to represent crossed "S" letters for their "socialist" dogma -another of Dr. Curry's discoveries). The pledge continues to be the origin of similar behavior even though the gesture was changed to hide the pledge's putrid past. The pledge is central to the US's police state and its continued growth.

Snowden outlines his motivations during first tv interview

coolhund says...

I cant salute Snowden as much as he deserves it. A true hero, but some people are still too stupid to see it, even when they get the facts into the face with a frying pan.
Einstein was right about stupidity.

Sam Kinison interview 1989

poolcleaner says...

Man, whenever I think of the woes of the lower-middle income, middle-aged straight white American man, I think of Sam Kinison and Ed O'Neil. They might not represent the same suffering as the rest of the fucks on this miserable planet, but the perks of their demographic do not outweigh the absolute nihilism of this way of being.

The middle ground of being everyone's bitch and not having a platform to ethically state your woes. Black man has a bigger dick, Asians are smarter than you, Hispanics breed faster, foreigners believe you're a moron, children are disgusted by you, young adults mock you, women think you're pathetic, homosexuals demand they suffer more, and everything you do is meaningless consumerism and menial labor leading to the happiness of everyone else but yourself.

And you're forced to salute a flag and think God every day for your happiness. I love you big brother as the bullet passes through your fucking head. A bullet through your fucking head.

OUTSTANDING !

Cheers my friend.

I just had a challenging few hours and sat down to the 'puter only to have to launch and relaunch the browser six times as someone left a slew of windows full of tabs open for hours and low and behold the nicest occurrence of my day, truly so.

I am about to retire. I will get three hours sleep then getting up to drive to the Tx Renaissance Festival for the day. It will be about an hour and a half drive.

My drinking days are long since gone now. I did verily enjoy my Courvoisier and wine for that matter. I do still miss El Dorado 15 year rum occasionally. I am, though, raising a St. Pauli Girl NA to you. I hope not to be slighting you...Salute Rougy. Never had the pleasure of Mexican brandy. Sounds intriguing.

I Ching? Rougy, you surprise me. From what translation is that quote? It does not ring of the Wilhelm Baynes. That is my default translation since '72 though I have a large collection. Do you use the sticks?

Your simian statement reminded me of the Principia's, and I paraphrase, a monkey looks into a mirror, an apostle does not look out.

You are ever the poet, sir.

As for me, I am the happiest of my life and happy when I have the sense to be. Healthy, my years weigh heavily but I am better than in years and intend to be better yet.

And you my friend? Healthy? And happy? I hope both for you.

I think of you often as a matter of fact,...and well if I may add. The are a few here that have touched my life, mind and heart, interestingly so, and you are not among the least of those. I think quite often of your last missive.

And finally, to your owing me one, thank you so much for the sentiment, and the gift of hearing from you my friend.

rougy said:

Cheers, unmet friend. Socking down a shot of Mexican brandy in your honor. Gonna chase it with some vino of indiscriminate origins.

Salute! May happiness be yours, now.

(shudder...good stuff....)

I consulted the "I Ching" today. It told me, and I quote:

"What unnecessary melancholy! You put your imagination and your soul aside and say: 'Look how sad I am!' This is what closes the way. It has no value whatsoever."

A gorilla can't very well buy the book of I Ching a drink, so I am at a loss as to how to pay my compliments.

Hope you're happy. Healthy. Not necessarily in that order.

Above all else...thanks for thinking of me.

You poured a little water on this cactus I call a heart.

It will sustain me....

And I owe you one.
