President Obama Comments on HCR Bill Passing House
@ButterflyKisses, here's a pretty good summary of the budgetary differences between the 3 bills (the reconciliation one is going to be what becomes law).
Here's a nice saccharine sweet rendition of the provisions of the bill from the DCCC: http://dccc.org/blog/archives/historic_health_insurance_reform_key_provisions
Simon & Garfunkel - Overs (live)
Why don't we stop fooling ourselves?
The game is over, over, over
No good times, no bad times
There's no times at all
Just The New York Times
Sitting on the windowsill
Near the flowers
We might as well be apart
It hardly matters
We sleep separately
And drop a smile passing in the hall
But there's no laughs left
'Cause we laughed them all
And we laughed them all
In a very short time
Time
Is tapping on my forehead
Hanging from my mirror
Rattling the teacups
And I wonder
How long can I delay?
We're just a habit
Like Saccharin
And I'm habitually feelin' kinda blue
But each time I try on
The thought of leaving you
I stop
I stop and think it over

I would like to see some objective sources for your claims, imstellar.
How much are you paying me for the pleasure of being your personal research assistant?
If you are honestly interested in the validity of any of the claims I made, I'm sure you'll be able to pick out a few terms from what I presented and turn them into a couple Google searches.

i will make the first move (Blog Entry by smibbo)
that, i endorse.
i actually avoid 'cute'. that knee-jerk saccharine of big eyes.
happy is harder to find. but unlike 'cute', the effects last, long after the clip is finished.

Saccharine enough to earn an exception into my normally cat-centric "kitties and nukes" playlist
More Ban Mail Fun (Sift Talk Post)
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
People have become so used to the anonymous nature of emails and the bland civility of cookie-cutter, customer service/call-center scripts that they expect a demure, placating response to any kind of vitriol that they care to spew.
We're not a call-center, and we don't have dedicated customer-support staff. (I hope we never do)
These kinds of "customers" are not always right on VideoSift - and their verbal diarrhea deserves ridicule. I'm giving notice right now that we will continue to air this kind of crap, and will never revert to a "thanks for contacting VideoSift - your thoughts are so very, very, important to us" kind of response.
I think my problem is that I work for a big corporation during the day, and the saccharine customer support spiel leaves me clawing for genuine humanity. Perhaps, next-time, the above poster will be a bit more thoughtful in his communication, or at least use a spell-checker.
Also, we checked the posts, and his "friend" posted from the same IP - so his defense is specious.
Six Year Old Conny Sings 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' ...
bah, sorry but that was way too forced and Saccharin (an artificial sweetener).
Euphoria physics engine GC 2006 demo
Hate to be a downer, but it's not really that impressive compared to many current engines. Not to mention the presenter and moderator are so saccharin I wanted to stick my head in microwave.
Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra: Some Velvet Morning
From Wikipedia:
Barton Lee Hazlewood (born July 9, 1929 in Mannford, Oklahoma) is an American country singer, songwriter, and record producer....
Following discharge from the military, Hazlewood worked as a disc jockey whilst honing his songwriting skills. Among his early hits was The Fool recorded by rockabilly artist Sanford Clark. Hazlewood also worked with pioneering rock guitarist Duane Eddy.
Hazlewood is perhaps most famous for writing the Nancy Sinatra hit, "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'". However, his own output has also achieved a cult status in the underground rock scene, with songs covered by artists such as Lydia Lunch, Primal Scream, Einstürzende Neubauten, Nick Cave and Boyd Rice.
Hazlewood has a distinctive baritone voice that adds an ominous resonance to his music. Hazlewood's collaborations with Nancy Sinatra as well as his solo output in the late 1960s and early 1970s have been praised as an essential contribution to a sound often described as 'Cowboy Psychedelia' or 'Saccharine Underground'. In 2006 Lee sung for Bela B's first solo album "Bingo" the song "Lee Hazlewood und das erste Lied des Tages" ("Lee Hazlewood and the first song of the day").
In 2006 he was diagnosed with terminal renal cancer with a life expectancy of less than one year.
