Range Rover Evoque Stunt – Speed Bump

newtboy says...

Ridiculous. At that 45 degree angle, any of those street cars could have gotten over it just as easily. I've driven over much worse in a civic.
My jeep or bronco could do it straight on, or at that same angle without ever lifting a wheel. Imo, this was just dumb to anyone that drives off-road and just showed what pure on road cars range rovers are.

Range Rover imitates Rockford and fails

A Bootlegger is similar, but a little different. Wherein a Bootlegger starts with the vehicle moving forward and ending the opposite direction, a J-turn starts with the vehicle moving in reverse and ending opposite.

Granted there are lots of terms thrown around for these maneuvers.

My rational was that it must take some serious skill to think it was a good idea (sarcasm). Happy to remove the tag if out of place.

Side note, watching again I noticed after the rollover that not only was the bass dropped with the sub flying out, but looks like a gun flies out alongside it? Range Rover + subwoofer + gun = instant cred?

So many questions...

Interesting, never heard of "J-Turn" always known it as a "Bootlegger", as in how bootleggers get away from cops.

Also, in what way is this "skillful"?

Thanks for the responses, gang. I guess I'm just surprised that we're going this route since it seems so inefficient. Kinda like the skycrane for the curiosity rover seems so convoluted and so much could go wrong. Which reminds me, it amuses me that they refer to the earlier explosion as an "anomaly"

Can already see this not working too well...the mars rovers wheels are already in SERIOUS trouble, just from traversing soft sand on mars.

You really think those thin sidewalls on that cube would last being thrown around like that, for very long?

Surprise Valentine’s Day gift from Land Rover

Surprise Valentine’s Day gift from Land Rover

newtboy jokingly says...

Dear Ford....I feel you need to mimic this kind gesture...and I have a 1970 bronco in nearly as bad shape as the Land Rover that's my daily driver until I fall through the completely rotten floor board. Hint hint hint hint hint.
