The thumbnail alone is cause for me to shiver.

I only glanced at it and didn't know what your comment was about. To me, it initially seemed like the guy on the right is performing a sliding tackle while the left guy tries to evade. That's no cause for shivering, he's still perfectly fine.
Then I noticed the right guy's leg ... now he can probably shoot around corners better than Roberto Carlos in his prime.

Reminds me of this one, though open wounds still send more shivers down my spine, for instance Ewald Lienen in '81.

Roberto Carlos Top 10 Goals

Quboid says...

Really over rated player.

#10 - did he mean to bounce it off the ground? I doubt it, I think he meant to volley it straight and got lucky.
#8 - nice outside curve.
#2 - yeah, right, sure that was deliberate. If I was his manager, I'd drop him from the team if he meant that. What sort of dumb ass wastes possession in a position like that with a shot that goes in 1 in 1000000000 times. He whacked in a cross, got lucky. Good for him, but not a skillful goal.
#1 - the camera angle is flattering. Plenty of free kicks would look this good with the camera positioned so neatly behind the kicker. It was a great goal, but it's not deserving of the reaction it got, he made millions off the fact that there was a camera in the right place.

The rest are good, but plenty of other players have done just as well. I'd take John Arne Riise over Roberto Carlos at his peak any day, Riise can could do these AND defend.
