Sara Underwood's Naked Bike Ride (Alternate Un-blurred)
Ughh, naked bike ride is one of my least favorite things about Portland. It's just a bunch of naked dudes messing up traffic.
Black Man Vs. White Man Carrying AR-15 Legally
Well THAT was pretty much the response I expected given this was Oregon, which (apart from Portland and Ashland) is pretty much the Texas of the West Coast.

Yet another reason Portland isn't as cool as Seattle ... [used to be]
If Asian Women Hit On White Guys the Way White Guys Hit On..
I liked the snow in Michigan so it's tempting to say East coast, but now that I'm older it's lost some appeal so I'm going to have to go with West coast. Portland is much better than any city in Michigan except for Detroit which is a mess right now.
Well don't leave us hanging. Which is it?
If Asian Women Hit On White Guys the Way White Guys Hit On..
Living in Portland, OR and being from Michigan, I've been asked whether I like the East coast or the West coast better and this is by people from the states.
Yeah, I actually get quite a bit of novelty seeking attention here in Thailand, even as a nerdy white dude.
Where are you from?
Kansas.
Is that close to New York?
...No.

Portland is way more progressive than Seattle. Really fierce on greenbelts and walking/biking trails that are actually usable for commuters.
And yeah. Seattle has coolness.
You're welcome!
Not that i'm in the know ,but i personally always thought of Seattle cooler then Portland. Although i have been to Seattle (which i enjoyed) and never Portland.
...and thanks for the ups.

A walk inside one of the surviving pinball factories
Is the Portland place you're talking about called Ground Control?
There's also this...
http://www.pinballmuseum.org/
I went a few years back. It's really cool. It has a bunch of info about the history and unique tables. AND you can play all the games.
I did too, so I bought a 'Black Knight' years back, the first talking pinball game.
It's also a great reason for a trip to Portland, there's an arcade there with room after room of 80's video games and pinballs.

I so miss playing pinball
Unicycling Darth Vader upgrades to Flaming Bagpipes
That's filmed right down the street from where I work. I've seen this guy around town a lot. He spices things up so it's fitting he's cycling in front of a Keep Portland Weird sign.

Was telling ya last night about the WOMAD show I saw back in 93' at the polo fields, Rage against the machine wasn't there as I had thought, but here was the line-up, part of it, because they had 3 stages with a few local acts as well...

I just remembered the name of the first Peter Gabriel concert I attended back in the summer of '83, Playtime 1988.
