No but seriously, don't bother releasing songs next year pop people. Just let this guy distill it all down to the chorus/hook and we won't be missing anything.

Wow, just realized that it's now 20 years since I first saw this guy perform live.

I always told my friends that I thought he would eventually cross over and have a big pop hit. Unfortunately, I was right- just never realized it would be THAT song.

When you consider the amount of time professional musicians usually spend in crafting a 3 to 5 minute pop hit, this 20 minute+ musical soap opera is pretty impressive. And an opera it is, in the purest sense. Obviously, it doesn't have the same level of talent that operatic singing imbues, but it's still a remarkable achievement, no matter how silly its subject matter. Up vote for effort alone!
