Make you swallow it - your weak style, I'll abolish it
with nuclear rockets they glued to your optics with sci-fi
Unsettlin, man and metal blends
Underground chillin with the Mole Man, and his whole fam
Inhibit bacterial growth, material wrote
Impenetrable, incontestable, indigestible intelligence
Never let a computer tell me SHIT
It's rapid innovation, penetratin
Artificial life forms, who bite songs
I'm a buy a vest, lie is next, then I'll flip the bio-techs
Right into the wireless; your third eye is hit with psoriasis
The mightiest, Deltron Zero
Traverse and purge the travesties that tempt your earholds
The area of distribution, lifts the clueless
My flow is like, liquid oxygen
Rip it often with specific impulse, increasin thrust
Grease the cuts - unleash a cluster of thoughts I muster
I talk to touch ya, and rupture commercial communications
Convert solar energy, into imagery
In the mind's eye, blindside the contagious
With radioactive isotopes to decay them
Atomic mass they small as fragments
I magnetize the avid lies
My radiation shields reflects, rejects Decepticons
who take the truth and stretch it long, while I bless a song
Next level incredible, metal melding
Flexability and my engine is never failing

All your rhyme histories combined couldn't violate
the Prime Optimus operative
Use my hydrometer to see how warm you are, watch me form a star
Hydrogen turned to helium when I shine
Ridin 'em revealin 'em leadin 'em to the vacuum
Interact with tunes in my digital citadel
Critical pivotal with the mental shit on you
Spit infinity, hiden energies too dope for our planet
Star spannin, slammin hymms with
mechanical limbs, scanning your lens
with cosmic rays, you'll all get played, your brain's inferior
I hit the lateral AND posterior
My science is eerier
Ionic bonding for your moronic pondering, meet the armorines
My micro machines, might throw your team, into paralysis
They not talented, just a malady
Worry 'bout a salary, creative casualty
Couldn't defrag my power density intensity
Nonequivalence, nine hundred Newtons
Crush you like croutons, you plus Houston
Hiero's like dipoles inside a silo
Turbulence ten-fold, never simple
Defies accepted methods development most unique
Paralyze central nervous when you close to me
Interstellar void fills with color, appears to bubble
and split into four like amoeba
Inhabitin planets with, grandiose boast
and coast like Silver Surfer, feel the purpoise
High velocity, verbal atrocities
Fire resistance, better hire assistants
My pistons glisten ultra, high performance
Inside your private quarters where I fry your components

That Iranian girl that was shot (Worldaffairs Talk Post)

kronosposeidon says...

>> ^rottenseed:
My question is?
What's so important about this event?
1.That an innocent girl died?
2.The possible revolution it may spark?
1. Innocent people die everyday...it's sad, I know, but hardly newsworthy to us
2. It'd have to spark something newsworthy before we can tell if this was a pivotal point for the Iranian people...so far, nothing has really happened, see answer #1.

The "Burning Monk" died in 1963. America didn't end its military involvement in Vietnam until 1973, one whole decade later, and the South Vietnamese government didn't fall until 1975. Does that diminish the historical importance of what this monk did? I don't think so, and I believe most historians would agree with that.

Maybe Neda's death won't end Iran's totalitarian regime by tomorrow or next week, but it will still have long-lasting significance. People are still talking about her, and they will for years to come. People still remember Tank Man, even though the Tiananmen Square protests were brutally crushed 20 years ago, right?

Neda's death is a historical moment. It belongs here.

Iranian Girl Dying in Street - June 20 2009

http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1906049,00.html

"Shiite Muslims mourn their dead on the third, seventh and 40th days after a death, and these commemorations are a pivotal part of Iran's rich history. During the revolution, the pattern of confrontations between the shah's security forces and the revolutionaries often played out in 40-day cycles.

The first clashes in January 1978 produced two deaths that were then commemorated on the 40th day in mass gatherings, which in turn produced new confrontations with security forces — and new deaths. Those deaths then generated another 40-day period of mourning, new clashes, and further deaths. The cycle continued throughout most of the year until the shah's ouster in January 1979. "

Helicopter crashes from ground resonance

blackout says...

As a [working] helicopter CFI-I I'm gonna say this is Dynamic Rollover. If you watch you can see it looks like she is landing on a raised platform (i.e. a cart). You can see it looks like the front porition of the left skid falls off the cart (you can see it fall, and she just sits there, as the collective is full down and lift is not greater than weight at that point) with a twisting motion. She then decides to try to lift back up and reposition.
It looks [to me] as if during the twisting motion, she gets the left skid stuck on something and now has the holy trinity of Dynamic Rollover (Pivot point, rolling moment, lift grater than weight).
The rate of roll is also consistent with Dynamic Rollover. If it was ground resonance, getting the air craft back into the air is the corrective action and the problem should have been solved, but she tried to lift up, and the helicopter rolled, pointing me to think it's dynamic rollover.
Also of note is the lack of vibration in the main rotor, and main rotor mast. Which should be seen in a ground resonance situation. (i.e. here and here).

Amazing Yoga Ball Flip! (5 secs)

charliem says...

I call fake.
That ball is actually a moving pivot point in a gigantic rotating mock-gymnasium.
The actors in the background are all highly skilled wall climbers, and are pretty good at holding on in a giant spinning room situation.

The dude just followed the pivot and jumped over it as it spun, giving the illusion (well pulled off I might add) that he was actually just performing a neat acrobatics trick. Its not possible to do that IRL, its all trickery, thank you modern digital cameras and editing suits.

Brilliant viral ad for fitness balls (which can NOT be used to actually perform this "trick")

Ammetures.

How to use Excel's VLOOKUP function like a rockstar

mrk871 says...

^ Agreed
I've seen Slash using that F4 trick.

Bono is really good at charts and pivot tables, but gets bogged down by long embedded formulae so he does a calculation in stages and just hides the columns.

Although the real master of the HLOOKUP is of course Bruce Springsteen who really knows how to work his functions. There's nothing quite like gathering round his cubicle and watching the boss at work.

Why Spin-offs don't work - 1970s Spiderwoman Cartoon

K0MMIE says...

Yeah, I don't get the point of this title either, she is not a spin-off or a knock-off. She just shares a similar name. She just recently had one of THE most pivotal roles in the last Marvel Event Secret Invasion.

Message recorded, lessons be stored in
This mental core its, like lentil porridge
Nas-t, massey, be the last g
From medical texts to class me
Ask me, if I had to grip my pad
The riffs I grab would rip and stab
The kids that sag the shit they strap
Is flavorless, and wreckless
Your bestest behavior gets

A razor gets parlayed amidst
And later splits a feeling that
I made ya hit, a really phat I gave to kids
When I punched em
I crunch men, at a function

[phesto]

Ponder on this, I swallowed the spliff with elocution
Encompassing the pompous means when I escalate my tool
Shins get split, men get spindled swiveled pivoted
By my riveting centrifuge
I swindling crews, bringing a fist to bruise
Pulverizing skulls annihilating trifling dunces
Pulling rifle pumps to stifle punks when my knife splits
Split your spleen hit you clean in the kisser
When I twist a riddle Im breakin the brittle
And flimsy with my whimsy
Puns and phrases I stun and phase kids
Terrorize em paralyze em paraplegic, when I leave em
Mindless spineless vertabraetless with menengitis
I earn em swift and minus a life with my nine

[a-plus]

I get the props, you get the buttocks
I know my what nots, stoppin flows like blood claats
Nah, cuz thats a bad word in jamaican
And I am that, grams packed cuz my jams phat
So get the beaner butter we discovered treasure
Youre sweet when I stomp you with my feet just for pleasure
Cuz I write the rhymes like a slavell pick the cotton
The best from the west cuz Im fresh and youre rotten
Take out the trash or Ill take it out your ass
With a blast from the past in the future, Ill shoot ya
But for the present beatdowns will suffice
Lose cuz you choose to be down with some mice
You dumb dunces I come once its my time to
Wanna hear a joke? Im you
Dont you wish I wont dismiss your treachery
I bet you be, leaving upon a stretcher g

[opio]

Im coming tighter, your rhymes are oreida
Little reminescent of the poetry I write
A-stoundingly, youre sounding like me, might we
Step outside and settle this I cause catastrophes
I laugh at these cause my shit is astonishing
Demolishing, you and your following Im swallowing
Mcs like I was a black hole ramsack those
Wack flows who chose to oppose
I dont suppose, dare or where my stubble grows
Reverses the process, God bless you swing and whoa its you!
Opio, disposes of crews like snotty tissues
I rip through bodies with corkscrews you wish you never tried
