Existence: the world we have created for ourselves
I do like this video, but could someone with photography knowledge explain/verify to me that the kind of timelapse he's done is in many scenes impossible to see with the naked eye, or even a time-lapse consisting of (not two images meshed together) long exposure photos, without mixing together multiple pictures, and possibly pictures from different times (day vs night). (I find it impossible to imagine how he shot stars in daytime in between clouds (1:50), or the scene where the stars are visible in broad daylight while the mountain is also visible in daylight).
Three minute tour of light through the City of Angels.
you could always do it by hand... >> ^ponceleon:

Anyone have any idea how he does the tracking with the time-lapse photography? It is clearly not just cropping, the camera is moving in some of those shots...

A real bargain at only $6k. Time to cash in the change jar!
YEOUCH!
Add to the list of stuff for when I win the lottery...

Earth Illuminated: Another Breathtaking View From Space
No doubt, that's some amazing photography.
Slow Motion Great White Shark Attack
Remarkable photography. Those sharks are the kind that give you nightmares!
Pro Photographer, Cheap Camera
This point applies much broader than to just photography. Give a junky guitar to a professional guitarist and it will still probably be one of the best things you've heard...but an amateur with a $4000 instrument is nothing more than a waste of money. A quality tool (camera, guitar, whatever) is only superior when it's in the hands of someone who's experienced enough to know why it's superior.
timeshifting, freeze framing, zen trippy humans flying
This photography is awesome.
The Great Porn Experiment: TEDxGlasgow, Gary Wilson
When I was younger, I was a chronic masturbater. So much so that I started to become self-conscience of it, and I decided to do something about it. Every night when the feeling hit me, I would throw in my favorite movie at the time, The Lost Boys, and watch it from beginning to end in an effort to stem my problem. Sometimes twice in one night. I could quote you entire scenes, line by line, and tell you who the directory of photography was. Did you know there's a blooper when the vampires take off out of the cave? You can see the ocean waves running backwards! Hahahaha.
....I lasted two weeks.
Now I just whack off and watch Fright Night.
What do you do for work ? (Talks Talk Post)
Generally, I try to be a photographer. I've been trying to do it for years, but it's hard to be an artist and the industry has been changing blah blah blah. I went to college for photography. I kinda hate chasing clients, and staff photographer positions are rare these days. I'd love to do photo-essay work like this, but it isn't the 1940's anymore and getting paid work from thriving magazines can be difficult.
Lately, for work, I've been teaching English as a second language. I just got back from spending a year in Quebec City. I am planning to move to China to teach at the end of the summer. I hope I still get to log in to the sift from there.

I really love making beautiful images. Teaching can be fun too.
Great post idea @BoneRemake.
Peace.
