Thanks for the video. I am indeed a fan, and I also had the distinct pleasure of being one of the men in the orange jumpsuits at the Vancouver concert. I either attend or work on almost every major touring show that comes through here, and whenever anyone asks "What is the best show you've ever seen?", I always have an easy answer- Peter Gabriel Growing Up Live Tour 2004/2005.

Peter Gabriel - Growing up live (complete concert dvd)

Peter Gabriel - Digging in the dirt

Kate Bush singing Wuthering Heights "Live" circa 1978 or 79

I will admit a heresy: I think Kate Bush is a genius and I wish more people would cover her work because I can't stand the sound of her voice. I used to work somewhere where either kate bush or peter gabriel (his solo work only) were on the sound system constantly and I had to grit my teeth during kate's disks. I love the songs, I just don't like to be sung to by chipmunks.

Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill

Say Anything - boombox scene (In Your Eyes)

Ah yes, the DIY album(2). Me favorite track is "Exposure". One of Pete's finest pieces.
As for the cutout bin, I think that they still have them. It has been some time since I trolled in the local music shops. Sometimes they wind up in the used bin.

You may be right lurgee. The youtube comments include someone referencing 1980. The poster listed 1983 so I used that. I totally missed Genesis, and only discovered Peter Gabriel with his DIY album as a cutout. Do they still have cutout bins? Off to take my ginko biloba pill...

As you may know Ive created a playlist of many of the dead videos on the sift. As its been there for awhile, and there have been quite a few views of it, very few vids have been fixed or discarded. I thought a list just of yours might be of some help. The list below are all your videos on my playlist. There may be a few errors, but I gave it my best shot.

Peter Gabriel - Come Talk to Me (Live)

silvercord says...

The master of performance, Peter Gabriel, appears with Tony Levin (Bass), David Rhodes (Guitar), Paula Cole (Backing Vox), Manu Katche (Drums), Shankar (Violin), Jean Claude Naimro (Keyboards), Levon Minassian (Douduok).

This is one of the very finest concerts I ever saw. It is from the 1994 Secret World Tour and the DVD is worth every penny.

Amen to that.

Two words: Tony Levin

In reply to your comment:
Best live act I've ever seen is Peter Gabriel. Believe me, I have literally seen them ALL. Current rumour du jour is that Gabriel is back in the studio with the original line-up of Genesis. That would be worth seeing- a monumental reunion that would put the friggin' Eagles (shudder) to shame.
