GOP Lash Out at Liz Cheney for Not Supporting Trump's Lies

bobknight33 says...

f Democrats didn’t rig and steal the election, why are they so afraid of forensic audits in key battleground states- specifically the audit in Arizona right now?

When Trump was a 8 to 1 landslide favorite with bettors around the world late on election night and clearly headed to a landslide electoral victory, why did five states suddenly announce (in coordination) they were stopping counting for the night?

How come by morning these states had resumed counting with no GOP witnesses, and suddenly Biden was ahead? I thought you stopped counting?

How come Michigan had a dump of 149,772 votes at 6:31 AM on November 4th – with 96% of the vote going to Biden?

How did Wisconsin find 143,379 votes at 3:42 AM on November 4th, just about all of them for Biden? How come you could only produce numbers like this for Biden with no GOP witnesses in the room?

How come in Philadelphia Democrats were so desperate to keep Republican witnesses out of the counting room? Why did you refuse entry of Republican witnesses even with a court order in hand? Why did you cover the windows with pizza boxes so no Republican could see in?

Honest Trailers - Gravity

MilkmanDan says...

(some spoilers here, although not really anything that wasn't in the video)
I thought it was quite good. Not great, but quite good.

That being said, the one thing that I was sure that an "honest trailers" spoof/take on it would include was left out: I lost count of how many times the last propulsive jet before they ran out of thrust in whatever system/mechanism they were using was just enough to get them into "precarious grab, slip and bump off into another precarious grab".

Gorgeous George jets around as carefree as can be -- fetching bolts, unhitched and drifting Sandra ... even the corpse of "man down in the first 5 minutes". He or others talk about how he is going for the record longest spacewalk many times. But then, when they really need it, "oh, sorry, I've just got enough juice left for one more burn".

Same thing repeats for the Soyuz, the Wall-E extinguisher, and conceptually in many other instances.

That is the aspect of the flick that stood out the most for me as begging for a good send-up.

Oh wow, I'm really glad I watched this now. Ragtime rules.

If I were privilidged I would totally want to point out that ragtime counts as *jazz. And that this is really *geeky.

The Unemployment Game Show: Are You *Really* Unemployed?

I don't think people fresh out of college count either. Many of them either haven't had jobs beyond some summer work, or they had jobs on campus they were no longer eligible for the second they graduated.

Left 4 Dead 2 - Zombie Survival Guide

Drax says...

Yeah, the game's not scary at all. I have one acquaintance who wont pick it up because he hates scary games and I assure him he has nothing to worry about. The game's set at night, that's about it's most scary element.

Difficulty for me in L4D stems from when I get pounced by multiple specials at once, especially if a hunter gets added to a scenario where I'm dealing with some other special. But again, the fun for me is working with the other players, making sure I'm sticking with them in case I get incapacitated.

It is definitely a casual game, the boss fights are all about finding a safe corner to hide in and managing through the waves of zombies (even then though someone often will make a dumb move leading to some form of hilarity). There is a little bit of strategy in that if anyone touches a mini-gun the tank will stop whatever it's doing and go after the person who touched the gun. This hiding in the corner element is supposed to be addressed in the sequel, there wont be a spot you can just crouch in and ride out the fight (or so I read a few months back). The rest of the game is shoot stuff, don't get pounced, help friend when they fall on the ground.

In the end we're in agreement on this game more so then not. I just find it fun due to taste mainly because of the co-op which is missing from just about everything else out there not counting mods. There's party based elements you don't normally see outside of an RPG, granted they're very simplistic, but it's still uncommon in a MP shooter.

I've done a fair share of death matching.. I LOOOOVED quake 2 and all it's mods (Q-Ball, lullz), and TF2's still a blast. L4D's kinda refreshing for me -in that department- of just pick up the mouse and keyboard and start shooting stuff. My real love's for more SP focused immersive games.

History Channel Admits Anthrax Attacks are an Inside Job

rembar says...

Could have been an preserved strain that was was openly distributed as a controlled many as three years ago? Coulda been anybody, right?

No, you're misunderstanding what I said. The strain is the same. The attacks could have been perpetrated with spores grown from a sample taken many years ago, not just three. The three years is just a somewhat-random number latched on to by the reporters, it only applies if the culture is being continuously grown (and not kept in stasis for storage), as would be required for research but not for collecting spores to stuff in a letter.

CP has a right to push this video, even if is alarmist and may send people down the wrong path.

Yeah, so where did I say he didn't have a right to push this video? I have the right to make fun of him for being a crybaby and for insisting on weighing in on issues he clearly knows little about, and I also have the right to call him out on both counts. I have no qualms about being uncivil, this is a bit of fun.

My world isn't going to collapse because of a little negative number, lol. This sift has no import on the issue in real life, so I have no problem laughing it off.

"It's not about equal opinion, it's the internet, you're going to run into morons on both ends of the spectrum. We can't censor comments that may be insensitive to others. There is a line but noone's crossed it so far. Like I said before it's a democratic community, if enough people like what you post and you spend enough time in the queue it'll get published."

Very well, I suppose. I just really wanted to know if anyone was interested in discussing God in civil manner. By the way, I do not remeber asking for eaqual opinion. Nor do I remember asking for any kind of censorship. I do, however, remember asking that we treat each other fairly.

"And SP, like James said, don't take Westy seriously, because none of the rest of us do. I suppose that might be part of why you're running into hostility here. You have to realize Westy is our village idiot.

And to clarify what I wrote before, I actually read JD's comment wrong. What I meant was, "I suppose all the other videos that respect religion (like the ones out of Islamica) counted for nothing." Take for example, the video I linked in the last paragraph, where you'll find the comments to be very civil.

Lastly, another reason you're hitting so much resistance here is because it appears that you have an agenda on the site. You avatar has a cross in it, your video challenges logic and basically says it can't be used to disprove God, and your first SiftTalk post is about religion. I'm noticing a pattern here, and I think the some of the other sifters are, too.

There was another user such as yourself, his screenname was Marr. He was only around for a few days to debate with us over a video I posted called "The Atheist Delusion." The reason he was so received was because he provided a level headed discourse with the atheists on the site. But what you're doing sounds more like censorship, or at the very least, trying to get people to change. You'll never get a good welcoming from people if your first impression is criticism. Instead, I would encourage you to help atheists understand Christianity better, just like Marr did, but above all, do not try to change them."

Yes, well, thank you for the info.

As for your JD comment, the link you posted shows what seems to be a minority on this site, that is open and civil discussion.

As for any hidden agenda, I have none. I admit, I do hope I can tell others about Christ while I am here, but I will not be sneaky about it. As for the video I posted on logic, it simply says logic shouldn't and really can't be used to disprove or prove God. You end up with two answers to the same question.

So what if my first post dealt with God? I myself found to video to be funny. I can add other videos if you think I have no other intrests, but I will not just act like I do not believe. I tend to enjoy video games, various forms of trip-hop, and like most toher people, stupidity amuses me. Trust me, I have more videos to offer.

As for Marr, it sounds like he had a good plan. I wish to do something similar. I never asked for censorship, I just ask that we treat each other with respect if we are to discuss God in a civil manner. I am open to any and all questions. Besides, who was I critizing in my video? I showed both believers and non-believers that they cannot use logic to prove their point. As for trying to change people, I know full well it is not my place to do that.

Hmm, I think this may be a good time to state that I was a former atheist, so, yeah, I know where many of them are coming from. I had the same questions they have, and like them, I tried to find my own answers.
