Passionate Sign Language Interpreter At Slayer Show

ChaosEngine says...

Awesome, I didn’t realise that was a thing. I’ve certainly been to a few metal gigs that were more sporting events than music concert

Maybe in the extreme literal sense, but they are most definitely appreciating and enjoying the music. And if you've always been without hearing, then what's the difference? This is just what music is for you.

When I go to a show like this the part I love best is feeling my rib cage resonate with the cords. The feeling that the drums are over riding my own heart beat. Losing myself in the energy of the crowd and the spectacle of it all. Even when my ears aren't enjoying the show so much I always love that physical feeling of heavy sound moving you.

no upvote for too much editing. Live performances like this or music concerts should have little or no editing IMO. It ruins the experience. What they teach you in Aesthetics of Video and Film shouldn't be applied 100%. Watching a video of a live event shot by someone in the audience is always better than TV/Film style production with many camera angles. You loose sense of the actual performance. Camera angles and editing should add and enhance the experience not take away from it.

Why removed? It's at a live music concert!

Your the last person I would be taking channel suggestions from ant. This doesn't have anything to do with music, its a man standing in front of an audience kicking out a participant. NOTHING to do with Music or livemusic. Where is the music ? I hear nothing ? it starts with "fuck" and then a tirade about how to act at his gathering.

VideoSift 101: tags (Howto Talk Post)

Sagemind says...

I have to admit I do have a beef with the way some people use the tags.

Use tags that someone might use to search for the video, not silly descriptions that are funny and clever. getting a dupe on a post usually happens when someone else's tags are so poor, the obvious searches don't bring it up.

I don't have the time to go looking right now..., but those who do this know who they are.
"Put the clever comments in the description field, not the tags!"
Oh, here's one (Sorry alien_concept)
http://www.videosift.com/video/How-To-Make-The-Ladies-Love-You-While-On-The-Rag
"chocolate bread pudding, oh my fucking god, my diet is over"

Another thing is some people don't use enough tags or descriptive enough tags...

Like this one (sorry jdbates):
http://www.videosift.com/video/Neko-Case-John-Saw-That-Number
The Tags are "music, concert, live" -- How about a person's name, song name, location, something that identifies the performance.

This one has NO Commas at all...
http://www.videosift.com/video/Snow-Falling
"snow falling uttarakhand uttaranchal bainji kandai dashjula"

I also have to mention, that after a quick look, there are also a lot of people who use the Tags quite well - so Kudos to those people! and Thanks!

Deano says...

"I enjoy classical music concerts for about 15 minutes. Then my brain is full."

(sorry the quote thing doesn't work for me).

I read once that this should temporarily raise intelligence which is a nice side-affect of *good* classical music.

David Lynch hates movies on the fucking iPhone.

Irishman says...

Agreeance with Lynch.

AND mobile phones with cameras and video capability have COMPLETELY FUCKING RUINED live music concerts as idiotic moronic fucking slug people stand there with their phones up in the air so that they can satisfy their ego to their friends instead of actually experiencing what is happening right in front of them.

Video Games Live

Farhad2000 says...

Video Games Live is a concert tour featuring music from a variety of video games, combined with video, light, lasers, and special effects. Debuting in the summer of 2005, Video Games Live was one of the first major video game music concerts to be performed in the United States. Video Games Live is also the first video game music concert to perform in Canada, Brazil and the UK.

It was canceled back then because the ticket sales weren't as strong. They held two last performances in Vancouver and Seattle, which did very well.

They kicked off a new world tour, details of the shows that took place can be found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_Games_Live_%28VGL%29#2006_World_Tour

Future dates can be found here http://www.videogameslive.com/index.php?s=home
