I know a lot of people will view this making the same mistake I did, so I'll save you the disappointment: When it says "kangaroo court and execution" it is not a kangaroo execution, only a kangaroo court. The Ceauşescus do not get stomped to death by huge marsupials in this video. They do get sentenced by a jury of koalas though, which is adorable.

The American opossum (America's ONLY marsupial, btw) is an incredibly stupid and occasionally mean-spirited animal, especially if cornered. Also, they don't carry rabies as their body temperatures (94-97 degrees F) are too low for them to be effective carriers. Any mammal can get rabies, but it is extremely rare in possums.

Possums are NOT scary, especially the one in this video. The ones I've known just lumber along very slowly, and they are quite harmless. I guess if you are going to categorize these as huge rats (which they're NOT) and you're afraid of rats, you will be afraid. Did the one in that picture try to eat you? LOL

Cute, but it's too bad they stink like hell. Southern Flying Squirrels are a much better alternative to Sugar Gliders. Not only are they cleaner and less odorous by virtue of being rodents as opposed to marsupials, but you usually have to get them from reputable breeders as opposed to from any old exploitative pet store which is a plus to me, at least. Lots of pet stores will also keep Gliders well past their "expiration date" if you will; after a certain age they just won't bond to a new owner and will make terrible anti-social pets.

Yeah looks like a wallayby. FWIW, I think possums are the only North American marsupial.
