Everything Wrong With The Avengers In 3 Minutes Or Less

Quadrophonic says...

@Shepppard first of, I think it's a great action movie.
But there are many points in this video i would say are right. For example I didn't see the Cpt. America movie... and why should I? They didn't film a coherent story like Lord of The Rings or Star Wars where it's expected you see the movies in order.
I don't like to be forced to watch for example Cpt. America, just to know what the Tesseract is. It's standalone movie and should be understood without the other movies. In the case of the Avengers it should be enough to know who the Characters are.

In my opinion this is just bad movie making. If you have a film that is based on a book for example, it also shouldn't be necessary to read the book to understand the film. It's nice to have something in the movie only Fans fully understand. But it definitely shouldn't be the main object the story is driven by.
It would be like watching Lord of the Rings, without anyone explaining what the ring does. And after the movie you ask some fan and he says "Yeah you have to read the book to understand that."

P.S.: On a side note, Peter Jackson did not make a good job in explaining what the ring is/does/makes so important but at least he tried.

My dilemma? The privacy of my own home is a smoke free property. [Thank the stars for vaporizers!]

Inside...outside though? I'm sure your yard or something could work right?

Nope ... it's a large, busy apartment complex =o(

May I suggest the roof.

You may, but there is no roof access. PLUS the entire property is non smoking [one is relegated to go down by the lake or up by the street ... both city property]. There is a $185.00 fine and the possibility of eviction if caught.

Time to move.

Definitely a serious consideration when my lease is up =oD

If you have a window, stick your head out when you exhale

The down side of this is that the more you do it, the more tolerant you'll become of wind blowing some back in

Subsequently making just moving towards to the window more acceptable, which will inevitably be replaced by blowing in that general direction

The upside is you get to wake up stoned due to all the residue of smoke on your walls, curtains etc.. that may reduce the care factor of breaching the lease. Then just before inspections, air fresheners become your friend

*whispers* but they can still smell it
*whispers softer* But you can blatantly lie. Innocent until proven guilty

it's nice to see New Zealand fully embrace the lord of the rings theme. I just wish they would get the money and actually build a full size, theme park. The shire they built for this new movie is supposed to be left in place for people to visit it. Now just upgrade it

If you build it... we will come....

edit: and that gollum sculpture looks amazing, specially considering its size.

The Worst Craft Idea Ever

mintbbb says...

This just made me see red when I fist saw it. I have always loved books and reading. I used to get most of my reading from the library, and if I fell in love with the book, I bought it.

Unfortunaterly most of my books are paperback. They do feel cheap and are uncomfortable to read, especially if they are thick. If I get a hardcover book, I either really, REALLY loved it (like my 'Lord of the Rings' set, back in the 80's), or I was eager to read it and didn't want to wait for the softcover (I admit, Harry Potters, Sookie Stackhouse and Hunger Games are some of the series that I have hardcover books).

Anyway! If you are not going to read your book more than once, get it from the library, or buy softcover. Do not buy hardcovers and then have so little of respect for them that you can just chop them up to be a storage box.

Maybe Lauren Conrad is rich enough to just buy whatever she wants and toss it away after one use. I hope not.

Books are precious.
