Another Epic Bus Ad from Denmark - Bussen 2

bareboards2 says...

Easily fixed, @Zawash. Just make sure the next bus ad has a woman as a protagonist. The real "sexism" is that the main person is, yet one more time, a man.

Women have been labelled as not having a sense of humor for decades now. Now we know better -- Amy Shumer, Tina Fey, all the great women on Brooklyn Nine Nine, Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig.... hell, it was never true that women didn't have a sense of humor. They were just pissed off, and rightly so.

So put Kristen Wiig in the next ad, and all will be forgiven.

Ha!

Amy Schumer on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Fletch says...

Hitchens will always be a hero of mine, however, I find I disagree with him on many things. I really dig Amy Schumer. Although she normally performs much bluer than she can on Kimmel here, I think she's hilarious no matter what. For me, it's women like Schuler, Sarah Silverman, Kristen Wiig, Tina Fey, Melissa McCarthy, Ellen Degeneres, Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball (to name just a few), that expose Hitchen's treatise as a puckish exercise in editorial, rather than serious condemnation of a humorless gender.

Maybe I just don't know what's funny.

Not only was the content cringe worthy, the delivery was too; "I was like," "he was like," "I'm like." Christopher Hitchens had it right; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8S692f1tnuQ

Tina Fey Slams Rep. Todd Akin Over His Rape Comments

quantumushroom says...

Even the best-built cars must undergo crash tests. Your sincerity to the cause of political correctness must be crash-tested the same way.

In case anyone is losing sleep, I find plenty of women funny. Maria Bamford, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kristen Wiig are the tops.

In quantumushroom's defense (shudder), I actually think he was making a reference to last week's 30 Rock episode.

I really wish someone would explain to me why people feel the need to defend QM. He says these hateful, racist, and incorrect things consistently, and gets roasted for it, yet people still jump to his defense all the time.
why?
