Ron Paul Recites Revisionist History Before Confederate Flag

Ron Paul Recites Revisionist History Before Confederate Flag

Who Said Craig Never Interviews Major Celebrities?

Anonymous Exposes Ron Paul

I'm curious, how many other candidates have received campaign contributions from white supremacists? Are they the only group of supremacists that has any impact with their contribution? Does their contribution even mean anything, other than that they're now poorer? Because if most or even all the candidates have, at some point, gotten money from one or more supremacists, wouldn't it be a moot point to specifically attack Paul on that issue?
I'm not trying to be clever or passively aggressively making jabs at you, I'm not from the US so I don't really know how the politics of election work there, hence the many questions.
It does seem strange, however, that simply receiving money from someone would somehow implicate you in any way as siding with their views. It kind of feels more like conjecture and gossip instead of politics, and what I would focus on to discredit him instead, if it'd been an election in my country, would be on what Paul actually says about his views. For instance that clip of him saying he doesn't believe in the theory of evolution, which is a statement he would certainly have to expand on before becoming viable for an electoral position of any capacity.

inclined to agree.
I get the feeling it would be fairly easy to link Obama with the Black Panthers or some other less mainstream group rather easily.

and it would seem that Libertarianism vs. any other "ism" going right now is the most favorable to white supremacists. ... So, just because the white supremacists likes ron paul doesn't necessarily mean ron paul likes them.

plus he "should" be smarter than political suicide.

still, all things considered, i wouldn't vote for him because he's a bible-thumping idiot.
but i would vote for him just to see what happens. lol!

Badge Idea (Sift Talk Post)

Wouldn't this idea foster a mentality of just going through the unsifted tab, upvoting otherwise questionable videos as a game of stat improving? The entire point of having an "unsifted" tab is to sort out the quality videos from the sea of mediocrity, no? I see little point in instituting a mechanism of rewarding voting for its own sake.

well....yeah !

That was the first thing that crossed my mind.

screw quality ( the reason for this site), I want to pad my stats...

The Crow made the two Cats fight!

Arkaium says...

>> ^Kreegath:

Cats fighting looks and sounds way worse than it usually is, especially when it's domesticated animals involved in the fighting. You'll rarely see a fight lead to one of them actually getting mortally wounded. Or if it did lead to the black cat killing the yellow, you'd probably see the black cat more bloodied and with an enormously puffed up tail, definately not as calm as it was when going up the stairs. However, domesticated cats don't fight to the death over territory. This could have been mating season, and the black cat got his way in the stairs, then promptly sauntered off afterwards. Having been a cat owner for over 20 years, I can attest to the ferocity they exhibit during their copulation periods.

So basically you're saying cats fight like pussies?

Thanks. Your comment is exactly why I posted it.

This is the power of the internet -- getting past the money-making images. Fear sells papers and catches eyes on the TV news, not love.

I have colleagues and friends who've immigrated to my country from Iran and who're in in daily contact with as well as take regular trips to the friends and family they've got living there. The image I've gotten of the place is nothing like the devilish hell hole that US and European media depicts it to be. It's a modern society with an ancient culture. Sure it's a country which struggles with poverty, social injustice and religious fundamentalism, that's undeniable. However, in many regards the same image could be painted of the US or even my own country of Sweden, should anyone feel the desire to do so, even if the degree to which the national problems manifest themselves vary. What is so very important to keep in mind, and what the media is very careful not to show you, is the actual people. That's why I like this video and others like it (although the music in this one wasn't really necessary IMO), because it humanizes them in a media conversation which otherwise thrives on dehumanizing to push a political agenda.

Yes because obviously a female cannot conceivably afford such a place on her on, she has to have been treated to it by an investment banker? Is that your point?

Yeah I'm a sexist bastard. It has nothing to do with rich white people owning everything

I gave him fair warning and he still kept it up. I don't care how it makes me look. He even goaded me to do it after I gave him the warning (see the last part), so I don't feel bad about it at all. Maybe he'll stay away for ever now. Has worked pretty well so far.

In reply to this comment by Kreegath:
This isn't making you look any better, Gwiz. Quite the contrary in fact. Posting personal emails like this reeks of childish vindictiveness, regardless of what Choggie writes in them.

G8/G20 - Crash The Meeting

Throbbin says...

I'm not so sure these folks can afford to do that. I've never heard of this duo before, and I probably never will again. If they did manage to travel to Toronto from elsewhere, chances are they had to scrape and save to do so. Native political rappers are not celebrities up here, and often make little to no income from their music.>> ^Kreegath:

I have a hard time sympathizing with these tourist rioters who seem to do nothing else but fly around the world to these meetings to torch cars, smash windows and throw rocks at the police. They're the reason peaceful protesters have such a hard time in these situations, no the police.

This looks really fun, but I don't really understand how its played. Is it like Lemmings?

I advise getting the demo to try it out - I would say "yes," if you could pick up the lemmings and make them magically connect to each other pseudo-magnetically...

David Mitchell talks about References

handmethekeysyou says...

Patently untrue. Perhaps they'll argue ad nauseam with their parents, but not with things they actually look up to, which, sadly, all too often is a television show.

I agree wholeheartedly with DM. I remember not just understanding, but engaging in conversations my parents were having about things I should have known nothing about. They would always ask how I knew the cultural/historical/scientific reference. The answer was almost always the same: saw it on Animaniacs.>> ^Kreegath:

He couldn't be more wrong about teenagers, though, as in their minds they are always right and anyone who disagrees is personally insulting them. This is the time where they learn to debate, which is why they'll keep on arguing their points ad nauseum, regardless of how wrong they are or how absurd their position is. When he has kids, this'll be some revelation for him

Korea played really well, but of course the judges were in league with Brazil!

Probably the best underdog performance of this World Cup. Looks like South Africa are on their way out Shame that they will probably become the first host nation to ever drop out at the group stage.
